I remember when Sparg0, Shadic, DDee and Kurama were all invited to a certain "prodigies" tournament several years ago when they were all just considered wifi warriors. I always knew Corrin was a strong character even though the community thought she was too slow and goofy to be meta-relevant, and Shadic was always going to be that rep she needed to one day make the character shine. He delivered and then some !

SHADIC is actually from my home town!! I’ll never forget there was a Sonic holding down the Thorne in all the local tournaments, when SHADIC was just 12. After years of practicing and meeting so many awesome players with his beloved father DADIC. He eventually took down the Sonic and started to move on to bigger fish. Having his father along side with him at this tournament made it a walk in the park for him. So glad he getting his flowers.

Can’t tell me that even tho this game has its flaws. It doesn’t compare to the excitement of the meta changing every 3-6 months and great new players (mainly young prodigies) spawning and defeat the vets. I don’t play as much but I can’t stop watching competitive play

I was a Corrin main in late Smash 4 and early Smash Ultimate. I got top 8 at a regional with one in 2017. So many of their tools were made useless so I dropped them. I think at the time, a top player said there were so many other swordies with better kits so it didn't make sense to use them. I was glad to see Corrin got buffed eventually. I haven't picked them back up but I'm happy to see someone pilot them well!

Considering how good of results shadic has been having this year, I think he’s currently an undeniable top 5 player. His worst placement all year is 9th at LMBM and 3rd at Diamond dust, and otherwise he’s gotten top 4 at every major, won 2 of them, and beaten 6 of the top 10

I'm pragmatic when it comes to the tier list. I usually see characters on their averages rather than their peak. So for me I Think Corrin is like a Top Tier character. Realistically speaking top 15 but potentially probably top 10. She's not an explosive character but her consistency is unmatched. And I think in current meta Consistency > explosiveness

I agree with SHADIC's evaluation of how good Corrin is. As for how SHADIC will be ranked, he will easily be in the top 5 if he keeps up his current placements, with top 2-3 not being out of the question. The #1 spot all depends on how many tournaments Acola decides to attend.

Swordy privilege is crazy. I wouldn't put Corrin into the top echelon with Cloud but just underneath that, near Bayo and Luigi. Character perceptions ebb and flow, but if you stick to the MUs it gets easier to hold positions on them. I think people will start parrying more. Seeing the same shorthop up air kill every other stock looks kinda readable lol.

He actually said in his Stream he doesn't like playing Lucina or Aegis. There's a reason why he plays Corrin. And not those characters. A few things he highlights is that - Corrin has the fastest Dash frame. Which means she has the fastest Dash cancel and dash shield. Both Lucina and Aegis have 10 frame dash cancel while Corrin has 7. - Lack of early percent kill. Lucina can't kill sub 100 unless you get an edge guard or a shield breaker read. Lucina didn't have that early kill confirmed. Aegis also didn't have that. More specifically Mythra didn't have that. Pyra did but Pyra is just slightly better Ike. Corrin has the benefits of getting an early percent kill in mid combo. Like you see in Sonix set where he hit down tilt at 42 into platform tech chase and a kill with neutral B. Corrin kill power is insane!!!
