I like that this episode isn't some fantastical adventure. It puts the characters in a position where they can't distract themselves from their misery. It's hard to really reflect on your eternal imprisonment and unresolved issues when you're chasing after bandits or hiding from angel monsters, but working a mundane job leaves little room for distractions. All you can do other than work is watch the hours go by. It's also a nice twist that Pomni, who has been a nervous wreck for most of the series, handles this adventure much better than the others. Her being new to the Circus means she's probably still used to mundane things from her old life. The others, who have been in the Circus for years, have probably forgotten how to cope with monotony due to the insane nature of the Circus.

Having to simulate an activity that they know is meaningless, as well as doing it in an environment they are more familiar with, all while being annoyed by Gangle, who typically is a pushover, is a recipe for disaster. They were also there the entire day, when it seems like their adventures don't typically last that long. Jax IIRC pointed this out too, so it was also probably due to how lengthy it was since they had to work an actual shift rather than solve a simple plot and be on their way.

Even though Kinger is still my favourite character, I really relate to Gangle's struggle in this episode and how she's constantly trying to cope with her own inner sadness, which is incredibly relatable, especially as someone who also loves to draw and create art and had to simultaneously worked before in the food industry as a waiter, I totally understand how much you have to cope with the mundanity and mental stress of having to work in such a gruelling environment while trying to keep it together and feeling as if the days go by and lose out on your dreams with people who you feel like dont care enough about you or your dreams/passions, however, there are people out there that do care, and Gangle is lucky to have people like Zooble, Ragatha, Kinger and now Pomni care about her (Jax Im not to sure about). That Gummigoo reveal was CRAZY unexpected, and I can only imagine how many of the fan shippers will go wild after seeing Pomni reunited with him, even if he doesn't remember her! Overall, really good episode 8/10 By the way, I want to see what Kinger was up to with that picture of him bull-riding.

Day 10 of requesting STM to watch Green Eggs and Ham (Netflix Adaptation) -Gangle’s portrayal of masking and depression hits home. I didn’t saw the depictions at first but it was really a creative way of showing it. Her new mask that was given by Zooble makes her happy or at peace but it doesn’t really change her character entirely, she is still the same except that her view/perspective is different. She’s comfortable with it but got shamed by Jax and Ragatha about her attitude, literally saying to her “you’re better when you were low” or “I miss the old you” and that hurts. Pomni and especially Zooble are the real ones to Gangle, treating her decently and tried their best to provide comfort or reassurance in their own way. Definitely my new favorite character now though!
