I am getting all 03s with my V2 Goggles unlocks the full 810p at 120 fps HD zero is 510p at 90 fps ????????????????? I would take speed over pic quality anyday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sold! Forget using two cameras from now on, the future is here. This is what having an HD system is all about. Sucks if you have a fleet of drones but if you're like most who have 2 or 3, it's pretty solid.

I honestly don't think this will substitute an action camera, at least not as it is now, so it's just an even more expensive air unit... You wouldn't want your fpv camera and your recording camera to share settings. I don't mind if I see an ugly image in my goggles, as long as I see everything with great detail. And wouldn't care if the brightness or the contrast changes all the time to adapt to darker places or to shots towards the sun, but I wouldn't want the same for my recording camera. Same with motion blur, same with color saturation... It is a great DVR, but don't think it's capable of replacing a gopro just yet. (Seeing drib's recording in 10:10 there are a lot of times where the picture is either pure darkness or completely blown out. Even Bubby's footage in 17:15 is worse than usual when they were trying to make a proper video)

If electronics are too hot to touch, they should have a fan or something, Some kind of heat sink that would also allow you to mount. It would be perfect.

Not gonna lie you guys are hitting the market (myself) perfectly. A newbie fpv guy that wants to just fly and have fun and is not so much into the building aspect as some may be. Of course I just picked up a pre built with the old Caddax,elrs and goggles v2 and had to buy new controller bc the dji fpv controller won’t work. Really hope dji does firmware update to create all work and interchangeable. Thanks!

Lots of people buy bnfs now, I started that way myself. I didn't think I wanted to build drones or solder either, but once you get one and crash it and have to fix it. Necessity is the mother of invention. I can now put a quad together in less than an hour, and the whole journey has taught me how to fix other electronics as well. So it's just been an all-around win/win for me. I agree with you. I like my Tango 2 controller. I'm going to wait for a module before I get one of these air units. I don't have high hopes for that happening though. If I could also use the DJI controller with TBS and ELRS I would buy it in right now. I don't like switching back and forth between controllers. DJI is determined to get everyone to buy their new goggles and controller.

Dang, if this was a little cheaper (and if I had DJI goggles) I think I'd switch to this. Hard to argue with the benefits of ditching the heavy GoPro. But then again there's lighter GoPros out now too! I'm curious to see how this thing does with lots of freestyle crashes in bandos and other hard surfaces.

If I still had my v1s, I would be happy. They're perfectly adequate. Only reason I got the v2s is resale value was about to tank on the v1s and I had a feeling DJI wasn't going to support the new drones and air units because version 1 of everything is usually abandoned once they work out all the bugs and design flaws.

Cover the PCB in the 75kg areldite and where its got a heatsink to keep stuff cool fill in the gaps and just over the top of the heatsink around the edges and it will make it waterproof but for the mem card slots just put a bit of gorilla tape over it

So, the video feed recorded onboard the O3 air unit and the video feed displayed in the goggles are separate, correct? For instance, if I set the recording to 4K at 24fps onboard, the goggles will always display at 1080p with a full 100Hz refresh rate, right?

Awesome video, thanks. If this becomes compatible to the old goggles I will definitely buy one or two of these. I am already using the air unit as my main recording camera because 1080p is all I really need so the O3 air unit would be a huge upgrade. As for the price: I live in Europe and don't have access to affordable GoPro replacements and this makes the O3 very attractive because as we know GoPros are broken and lost frequently whereas it is really difficult to destroy an air unit.

If by "old goggles", you mean DJI v2 goggles, yes, O3 is already compatible. The compatibility wait is new Goggles 2 with old air units. DJI v1 goggles are not on the roadmap unfortunately.

What are the odds that you'll be able to wedge one of these 03 air units into a sub-250 drone? Something like the Driblet S 2" or even a 3" or 3.5" of some description? I think a big advantage of this new air unit is that you could theoretically jam it into a sub-250 drone and still get close to gopro-quality footage out of it (without needing a separate action camera which is a weight consideration).

Hey. I just installed the O3 system in my babyhawk2hd. With the googles 2. Wowwww! Amazing. A quick question. I went though all the settings. I just flew 2 test flights so far. Both flights had 2 video files on the SD card. They both stopped at 3min 43 seconds then fini3in another file. Please tell me there is a setting I missed. Lol.. One other thing my Google video is butter smooth but my 4kn60 sd card has a ton of jello. If heard with Gyro in the camera this can be an issue. Thanks for any input!

I think the calculation with 250 bucks compared to an action cam is not "ideal". i mean, you get an fpv system AND action cam for 250 bucks. if you take the caddx viste with nebula pro you just have to pay around 160 bucks (here in the eu). so you get an action cam for 90 bucks with an image quality, which is very close to gopro footage. on top of this: you won't break gopros any more. if this thing has similar durability like an caddx vista, the chance to break it is much less than to break a gropro. i broke 3 gopros this season and no caddx vista + nebular pro in the last two seasons. so yeah, 100 bucks more at the start, but a money saver on long terms, i think. in my eyes this new version is real game changer. specially for freestyle. cinematic stuff is another talk, i think.

from what ive seen the Goggles V2 seem like the better fit for the O3 for now. You are only missing out on 200p of resolution, but you get 20 more fps with the goggle V2.

I’m trying to put this camera on an RC buggy and there is literally no video on how to wire the camera to an external battery. You have to figure out how to wire and solder on your own and “ain’t nobody got time for that”.

I think I would ditch the go pro and fly with the DJI system solo. Saving weight, and getting better performance is a big plus.... I also don't really need the kind of footage for my style of flying from a go pro. The all in one would be perfect for me. I'm sold. ;-)
