We bought a GT Pantera grey in December 2023. One of the first ones in the state. We have 9000 miles on it, and have driven it way past Vail and back to Highlands Ranch without charging. This car is truly deserving of the vehicle of the year awards, best of the best. Truly an amazing vehicle. We get about 320 miles on a charge. My wife raced a RAM TRX in an on-ramp and pulled away from it! Oh, and we passed on the electric second row seats, because they moved slow and cost an additional $3k, Kia warranty is also 100,000 or ten years! If you’re complaining about price, a Rivian is like $20k more. Totally love your channel, been watching for like 8 years. I watch you all until my legs fall asleep while on the toilet.

I am currently leasing a KIA EV9 GT Line. It’s my first EV. On the positive side are : very fast charging with a sustained 200 kw plus charging curve to about 65 % SOC, quiet ride, competent and reliable driver assist systems, huge cabin space and decent seats. On the downside side is maneuverability in tight parking spaces, high beam assist is not a set and forget option, the lane assist cannot cope with tight bends on highway conditions, but above all the power usage at constant 130 kmh speeds, the speed limit detector is useless and the route planning is not up to date. The car is well built and draws attention. Cheers from overcast Switzerland.

I paid $68k out the door for an EV9 Land, the trim level just below the GT. We had a Jaguar F-Pace that was my wife's everyday driver. More grandkids on the way meant we wanted a 3 row vehicle and this fit the bill. My wife is 60 years old and doesn't have any trouble driving or working the things that are important to her. As far as we're concerned, this is the best vehicle we have owned. We've taken a couple of road trips and that has its own unique set of challenges, but that has more to do with current state of EV infrastructure in the US than the vehicle. Bravo Kia.
@georgeh6856Ай бұрын
The older guy is bitching for no reason. A common complaint is that features are hidden beneath multiple layers of options in touchscreens. Now, Kia has laid out separate screens and buttons so that you don't have to fiddle with multiple layers as much. And this older guy is still complaining! I guess he wants thousands of physical buttons, one for each option? He sounds like he will never be happy.

Hey Roman, the elderly are buying sedans, big suv is being bought by younger people who need 3 rows and have different taste in design and technology preferences. Price is rather crazy, 80k for KIA? The Hyundai's are supposed to be higher end. The Genesis line is really nice.

Roman, there is no such thing as too much power! What are you 1,000 years old?🤣
@AHungryHunky18 күн бұрын
As a 30yr old, I agree with Roman's old man points about the screens and haptics. My current car has both physical and digital controls, I have attempted both and the physical are just far superior and faster for adjusting while driving. If i see my car is set to 75 and I want it set to 70 i just turn the knob 5 clicks and can do that with just a quick glance. The screen control requires me to go into a menu, then look again to see where i need to press. Its just a longer more distracting process regardless of how you try to spin it. "If you are paying 70k they have to justify the price" And that's exactly it Tommy, my Base model Acadia has more than I need to be comfortable. The seats are comfortable, its climate control works quickly and has 3 zones that almost never deviate from the primary zone. Cars are getting far more features than anyone actually needs or will use to justify crazy prices. Sometimes I just want a decent sized car that can haul both my children AND the larger items that don't fit inside regular compact SUVs and hatches. I think all of these features are cool, but i personally will never have a use for them. Just give me a reasonably comfortable 2 row with 35 cubic feet of cargo or more. After that you can keep your fancy liftgates and even your electronic seats, take to long to adjust and for some reason I can never find a spot I am happy with, especially the lumbar support which seems to dig in on even it's lowest setting. The one luxery feature I want is remote start via phone since I live in PA where seasonal temps can swing between 100°+ with 90% humidity and -10°.
@AHungryHunky18 күн бұрын
On a positive light (YT won't let me add more to my original post) I would like to say, I like the size and style of this vehicle. And Roman, I drove my Jeep Renegade for 3 days after using one of those kits so don't knock em, but I do prefer a full spare if there is space. If I had the budget and place to charge it would be a consideration for a replacement to my Acadia (if I hadn't just bought that myself) since it seems to be on the smaller side for a 3 row, and I really don't want a "3 row", just the larger cargo area you get with the 3rd row down.
