I bought this with a Bosch “Expert tough wood” blade for my father and he loves it - less vibrations than his old DeWalt cordless saw, cuts much better(because of that aggressive blade) and light enough to carry it up a tree(attached to the Makita Quick Release belt).

What is the diference between the (DJR189) and (XRJ08Z)? I live in the United States.

Thank you for your comment! The product names of Makita products vary between Europe and America, although they are one and the same device. Unfortunately, I cannot say why Makita uses different names here. I always try to use the two correct designations in the title and in the video description. Technically, however, both devices are identical as far as i know... Best regards

Trying to compare this & the xrj08z. They look identical

@danielpatrick368 Makita xrj08z is the identical model as shown in the video. Only the type designation varies between countries. I can't explain why Makita uses different designations for the same device. However, the device is identical in construction, so that no difference in performance is to be expected. 😊👍🏼 Best regards

That sounds like the "American" model number. Makita is insane they have same tools but different "names" in america. Also they don't give Canada the 2.0AH BATTERY they keep only selling the 1.5AH😢
