The perfect Broncos head coach in that game would have been 3 parts Dan Campbell and 1 part Sean Payton. While I do not always agree with DC always going for it on 4th down, even if the Lions are deep in their end of the field, I admire DC's "no guts, no glory" and "fortune favors the bold" (or "audentes Fortuna iuvat" in Latin for you cunning linguists out there). Dan Campbell plays to win. Sean Payton coached that game with a "play not to lose" conservative mindset. Dan Campbell would have 100% definitely gone for 2 to try to win the game - no guts, no glory!!!! Payton's explanation for not going for 2 is Chicken Little lame. Payton needs to borrow Campbell's cojones if the Broncos do reach the playoffs, likely playing the mighty Bills. Otherwise, constantly throwing little screens and always running on 1st down means a blowout for the Broncos' first playoff game since the 2015 season!!!!! Like that old proverb: "A rolling Higgins gathers no Moss!"

The Chiefs roster and play style is matching up very well against the Ravens. Dline and lbs are the Chiefs strongsuit defensively and Mahomes, the oline and Kelce 0lus the other weapons can give anybody trouble on any given day. Combine that with Reid and spags and the Chiefs have the better coaching almost all of the time, too. Truth is though, the Bills might've looked good against KC the last time around, but KC got a bunch of important players back and I wouldn't bet a cent on the bills beating the Ravens and the Chiefs.

Hey Brandon...I wanna tell you how much I LOVE your channel! Long-time Seahawk fan, NFL fan, and overall football fan here. Seattle and Denver had their own storied rivalry for all those years that John Elway OWNED Seattle!! But you and your sense of humor make me smile (and laugh out loud) every time I watch one of your "New Worst Game Ever" videos!! I feel your pain, having lived through all those years that the 'Hawks were NFL doormats!! I have my own pet theory on what's happening (now) in Denver: These last 2 seasons, it's been "the Coach". I cannot stand Denver's HC!! Based on the way he treated RW with such utter disdain, rudeness and cruelty, I think it's only fitting he can't coach a win when it's needed most. Also, based on his horrific history (suspended by the NFL for a season for allowing the "Bounty Defense" at his old team), Denver's HC is simply a morally bad person. Lastly, he looks and acts like a professional whiner!! Never smiles, never has an encouraging word, and always a mean, nasty scowl on his face, the Denver owners hired a Negative Nelly as their HC!! Too bad, so sad for Denver!! With all that said, Denver's future looks bright, with Bo Nix at the helm as QB!! He's a talented kid, good leader, and should become a real NFL star. I'm sure you feel the same way! Just as it took Coach Pete to FINALLY get Seattle to be respected, and to win a SB over an aging PM, Denver WILL return to prominence and to the SB with a different HC, The current guy is, IMHO, not a good person, at any level. Thanks for all your great content, commentary and comedy!! I always look forward to all your videos!!

I'm not entirely certain about that. Andy Reid is excellent at utilizing his players and crafting effective game plans. Carson Wentz has displayed significant talent in the past-back in 2018, he was regarded as one of the league’s top quarterbacks. If Reid can tap into that potential, the game could be very competitive. Wentz’s biggest challenge will be the lack of top-tier receiving options, but Reid has a proven ability to design strategies that mitigate such weaknesses.

Playoff picture summarized: AFC qualified: Chiefs Bills Ravens Texans Steelers Chargers Fighting for last spot: Broncos, Colts, Bengals, Dolphins. Broncos qualify if: They don't lose their last game/ They lose and the Bengals lose their last game and the Dolphins lose one of their two games. Bengals qualify if: They win their last game, the Broncos lose and neither Miami nor Indianapolis win both their games. Dolphins qualify if: They win both their games, Broncos lose and Colts lose at least one game. Colts qualify if: They win both their games, Broncos lose + Bengals win their last game, plus the Dolphins do some weird voodoo stuff.

Love your show. Diehard, long suffering, been here since 1968 Bengal fan. You need not worry. You’ll be in and we’ll be out. It’s a crime that Burrow is going to have to sit this off-season, but he’s only one of 22 guys on the field and he can’t do it all. Hilton, Hendrickson and the linebackers are the only ones showing up on D.
@desertsnow33605 күн бұрын
I know it's frustrating for Denver fans, but we aren't out yet, and the progress from game one of the season to now has been very good. Lot of potential in these guys, and they'll get there. Burrow's a top QB, so be proud our rookie went toe to toe with him. (Until the OT, of course...) It was a good game! Just didn't end the way we wanted.

When Sean Payton called timeouts in overtime I said, “What is he doing?” He gave the Bengals time to win the game when he should have been letting the clock run and playing for a tie. There are only 32 head coach jobs in the league (best job in the world) and when head coaches (Staley, Eberfluss, Bears interim head coach, Payton, Raheem Morris) fail at the football equivalent of 2+2=4, I wonder why they are head coaches. A few years ago the Raiders were running out the clock playing for a tie which would have put the Raiders and Chargers in the playoffs. Staley calls a timeout 🤪. The Raiders decide to try to win, do, and knock the Chargers out of the playoffs. Bears former coach clock management. Bears currently coach clock management and a timeout before half against Seattle that gave Seattle time to kick a field goal (difference in the game) 🤪. Raheem Morris not using a timeout after the long pass to Mooney 🤪. I learned these basics when I played peewee football, and these professional coaches who are paid a lot get it wrong and fail at football 101 🤯🤯🤯.

Seeing that last second touchdown to Mims on 4th down was so crazy, all I could think of was how much you must've been loving that. And same for that missed field goal off the upright in OT. That's such a crushing way to lose after getting every break to go your way up to that point to even still have a chance. Felt like the Same Old Lions years where they'd just invent new ways to disappoint and lose games they should've won. But even if they do miss out on the playoffs, it's encouraging that Bo got you guys this close in his first year, the future is looking good for him if they can build around this.

I would have preferred a loss going for two over this fiasco. Also someone needs to hand off the play calling to someone who knows how to play call. And lastly. Why is it that when they are running the ball so well...then after one little stop for 1 yard or no gain, it is completely abandoned? And abandoned usually for one of these ridiculous, obvious and choreographed behind the line screen passes? Complete insanity.

Did you forget the no call in the NFC championship vs the Rams? They'd likely have won the game if the pass interference is called. Also the defense lost the game in the Minisota miracle or they would have won. He's had a lot of bad luck, I think he's cursed for the bounty gate scandal
@celanian81885 күн бұрын
I think the smart play for Denver was to go for 1 and take OT instead of going for 2. The key is that going for 2 is slightly less than 50% chance of winning. Going for OT gives you slightly higher than 50% since a win OR tie gets you the playoff berth. You probably have a 5-10% better chance going for OT than going for 2.
