Thanks Zack! I don't understand why they went back to USB 2.0 on the OP11. I can live without wireless charging, but after having the OP5 for almost 5 years (AWESOME device btw), going to the OP9 with USB 3.0 (3.1 ugh!) was night and day for transfer speed and peripheral compatibility. A weird step backwards indeed. I hope the OP12 goes back to 3.1, or maybe even 3.2 for 10Gb/s. I really didn't like the OP9 at first bc of the merged OOS, but after flashing EvolutionX (with a modded GCam & proper config), it's now damn close to a perfect device, at least for me. I definitely miss OG OOS. The ColorOS merge was also a weird choice, but OnePlus, for all its faults, still allows bootloader unlocking without voiding the warranty, and that fact alone still goes a long way with me, since I can flash a different ROM/OS if I want to.
@JacksonPhixesPhones Жыл бұрын
Still love my OP5, and still have it as a backup. I swapped the battery at ~3 years, and it's still great. Though after using the 9 with a high refresh panel, it'd be tough to go back to a 60Hz device as a daily driver. First world problems though.
@fernandong9576 Жыл бұрын
mostly because OnePlus is no longer making flagship grade phones. They stepped down for oppo to do the flagship jobs. Anyway, it's proven to be quite successful at least in China. It their most saled OnePlus model in history (mostly because the price of the phone is very different in China and other regions, it cheaper in China without the import tax).

I bought the oneplus 7 pro right after it was released, it has been more than 4 years now and even after falling multiple times on the road, railway platform, in the bus and once even on the road as in was riding a bike going 50 kmph, still no crack on either glass. It has even recovered from water damage recently after i left it in a pool of water. There is a crack on the bottom of back glass but no glass falling out, it is still in one piece. The camera is great as for years i have used my phone for all my family photos. The pop up camera has never bothered me once it still works like a charm. I loive that this has such a huge screen (6.67 inch) without any notch or hole punch. You dont get that bow even with most high end phones. The power this packs is no joke it still runs smoothly noi matter what i do even though i use it in the lowest setting. The only one issue i got with this is that the battery capacity has drained but that is expected. If the battery is replaced it will be just like new That being said i would not buy a OnePlus again as its sad but they have settled...

My OnePlus 11 fell from table height. It's back glass panel is broken and when I took the phone to their service centre they said that the display got bent and new back glass panel won't stick properly if the display isn't replaced. And this all happened when my phone fell from table height having a flip cover. So now I have to pay a third of the original price to fix the phone. Too bad that when time to upgrade came, i discovered that oneplus had stopped producing flagship killers and now they make flagship-priced phones but with the same compromises as the flagship killers. It was so sad, and at the end i decided to switch to samsung and grabbed a s21 with a good offer last year. So far the samsung is doing a great job, i think samsung gained a customer...
