I was on Sony's website to pre-order the whole set last month. I joined the queue the second it went live, but for some reason I had to wait over an hour for my turn to purchase. I think classic grey should be an option from the get go. If they wanna make anniversary editions with all the etching and extra stuff that's fine. But i think they should take a note out of Nintendo's book and style the controllers based on older ones like how Nintendo lets you just straight up but the new version of an older controller. This could be the ps1, I have also seen ones on eBay styled after the white psone, they already have midnight black just change the buttons to be the same as this ones and boom you got a PS2 themed controller, make transparent ones like they used to could also be PS2 themed. For PS3 just swap the accented part on the bottom to be a sterling silver and it'll look just like the OG fat boy PS3 with the classic buttons on it. Idk what you can do for PS4 themed but i feel like all those other ones would sell like crazy

Fresh out the box batteries are not supposed to be fully charged only slightly charged or not charged at all as to preserve the battery life of the device as it sits in storage waiting to be sold/shipped to retailers

Customer service is bad it’s hard to get one serviced under warranty, prompting people to just give up and buy another controller. The Bluetooth didn’t even work properly in mine, was told that wasn’t covered under warranty. Bought another controller, problem solved, sticks are now drifting and it’s been less than six months. Ps5 hardware is atrocious.

I don’t actually need a macro lens to see those on the original controller. I can also manually adjust my pupils so I can see the dark spots on the moon clear as day with the naked eye or the filament of a light bulb. So that’s cool I guess. I ended up finding out the controller symbols by accident because they felt weird and it wasn’t until I looked at them that I looked it up and saw like 20 vids about it on KZbin. Crazy.

I love that people get caught up in the aesthetics of the controller instead of the functionality. Im sorry but il never buy another sony controller again unless they implement and invest in TMR joystick technology. TMR sticks are hall effect, They don’t get stick drift. You can simply recalibrate them if they give you the slightest amount of drift. Funny how this technology has existed for a few years now but Sony and Microsoft don’t seem to care too much about it. They would rather make you spend $200-$300 a year on controllers instead of switching to this better technology that would cost them nothing extra to produce. If you think thats messed up (Which you should) Think about investing in a well made 3rd party “Pro” Controller. Personally i use the hex gaming phantom, I get all the features that sonys Edge controller has and it’s impossible for me to get stick drift. I get the extra buttons aswell with the controller profiles to save layouts for different games, also came with a 90 day warranty which I thought was sweet. Vote with your wallet guys, Dont get sucked into this “collectors” crap. I think your better than that. 🤙🏼
