I'm concerned about using a metal toothpick. I understand we use metal utensils, but I don't bite down on those either. I feel like you'd be scraping away enamel when using it

Depends on the metal it’s made from. Just think about when you go to the dentist; the dental hygienist uses a stainless steel pick to scrape the plaque off your teeth. People don’t realize just how hard tooth enamel actually is. Now a titanium toothpick, that would give me pause.

Well as he said, you need a refill easy to find it and for low cost. I live in Europe and a fisher space pen refill isn't available in any local store in my city, i would have to order one online. Imagine in other countries, in Africa or in Asia... The idea of bic refills is absolutely genius. You can get different writing sizes from ultra fine and accountant fine to the very broad line of 1.6 and many ink colors too. But everything depends on where you live.

You know, I thought about this observation for a week or two. I agree. If you’re looking for an incredibly versatile pen with many insert options, this ain’t it. Get a different Big I. The Sancho exists precisely because their other pens didn’t fit the Bic Cristal. This is a niche of a niche pen. Definitely not for everyone.

The idea of bic refills is absolutely genius. You can get different writing sizes from ultra fine and accountant fine to the very broad line of 1.6 and also many ink colors. I think the pack with the 15 colors is the biggest color variety offer but there are some more separately like shiny gold and shiny silver pack, maybe even more... If someone knows of a broader bic than 1.6 or finner than accountant or some other special bic pens or colors please reply to me. 😊
