Remember everyone, the Xbox 360 E Winchester model is not possible to RGH so finding an softmod exploit on an later dashboard or even the latest dashboard would mean that every model would be able to jailbreak.

This is a very important point, because a lot of people wouldn't understand why the soft of would matter at all when hard mods aren't really that difficult or expensive. If I knew how much having extra flux would have made soldering, I would have been doing RGHs years ago. Instead, I avoided Corona V2+ because I was scared of soldering to the tiny pads for the nand interface. Now, we would have access to a cheaper segment of the Xbox 360 because they previously were only sought after by collectors or penny-pinchers. I might buy one to get ahead of the curve.

I know it's super old and requires you to be on a blades firmware (or something like that) but still, I think modern vintage gamer did a video on the exploit.

As far as I know you cannot downgrade xbox 360 dashboards due to motherboard e-fuses getting blown (on purpose) when you upgrade. No going back

@@BigShirtGamesyou absolutely cannot downgrade to an older kernel. Once that fuse is blown, it is gone. You can get to an older dashboard via modding, yes, but its still the same kernel it was prior to the dashboard change, so its not a true downgrade. Its misinformation to say you can downgrade.

Sounds like the best idea is to buy a console when they first come out and then sit on it for 20 years. Honestly with the way things are these days it seems a good idea to buy 2-3, One to sell brand new boxed in 25+ years, One to mod with 20+ years of findings, whatever consoles you're buying by then are weeeell paid for if we're still acting like retro consoles are worth something.

downgrading shouldnt be possible: if you had a pre nxe dashboard update and updated to a newer nxe dashboard, a specific fuse is blown and is the main reason downgrading dashboards nearly impossible unless you have a jtagged xbox, since the fuse never blows. maybe thats old news but thats my understanding of it

If you can't dump efuses and run xell it's pretty much useless It's only probably going to run an xex with whatever resources the hypervisor allowed for tony hawk That's why you rgh or jtag, and modify the hypervisor and just get devkit at boot Run an emulator yeah Custom dashboard and rebooter I doubt it

That's like the king Kong exploit You can't downgrade an Xbox once the efuses are blown for the update lockdown value and there are multiple ldv for dashboard and bootloader You can update a dash without updating bootloader That's how king Kong got patched but jtag still worked until nxe

I'm not a fan of soft mods for the X360. First i have a ton of fun to RGH3 my Xbox 360's and sell them for a little bit of money. Second, if a soft mod is available to everyone that means cheaters are going to be rempant in multiplayer games. For exemple, on BO1 there are no ways to cheat unless you have an RGH console. If everyone has a soft modded Xbox bye bye cheaters-free BO1 multiplayer.
