This better not be the last Xbox with a disc drive. You don't actually own anything in the "digital future" and storefronts can revoke your ownership when they shut down servers, lose a trademark license, or whatever reason they can come up with. It's already happened with games and movies. Plus, they still charge you full price for digital games so you might as well buy physical copies and actually own something tangible.
@Cerg19986 ай бұрын
Due to the way modern disks work, updates, DRM and other things, console makers can still effectively take away our games, even if they are on disk. The only way to preserve stuff for sure is emulation and console modding. That is unless a big enough country pushes for legislation on the matter. But I get the sentiment, physical copies just feel more.. property-like. Even if they aren't legally.
@PanAndScanBuddy6 ай бұрын
Do not put a disc into the Xbox Series S ToaSter.
@DrBrangar6 ай бұрын
That isnt really how it works nowadays. When you buy a disk, what it then does is download the game from the storefront, the disk doesnt hold much actual game (because most games cannot fit onto a single disk anymore, and multi-disk installs are just not done), just licensing and such.
@weneedaladder83846 ай бұрын

I had one of the Series X mini-fridges (or electric coolers, more properly). It kept drinks cool enough and had little door shelves for snacks, but constantly iced up inside and then just abruptly stopped working after a few months. Gutted. Replaced it with a Frigidaire cooler that has enough space for exactly six drink cans and nothing else and that’s been running nonstop without issue for much longer. Branded novelty items are fun, but for what they charge, they could at least make them durable.
