The Liberty made it to the free throw line 25 times, compared to Minnesota’s measly 8. Nephesia Collier was without a doubt the MVP of the postseason. It’s quite clear that the Lynx would have and should have won had the game if only the game had been officiated fairly.

I actually love both the Liberty & the Lynx, so either win was ok for me. I was here just to watch good basketball. But the refs in the WNBA were not fair. Them choosing to make a call or not make a call is affecting the fairness of the game and is not protecting the players. It affects the psyche of the players and the audience watching this because you are more wrapped up in the injustice of it, not the quality of play. These players, both Liberty and the Lynx, are amazing. They and us as the audience deserved fair and consistent officiating, as well as the rest of the league. And worse, inconsistent officiating affects the outcome of the game and that should NOT be the case. It’s not just about this game, but ALL games. The playoffs made it clear we have a real problem. And it’s turning off the fans

For all the Liberty fans claiming that the bad officiating was "payback" for the foul called against Sabrina in the end of Game 4, go back and watch that play in slow motion - at 0.25 speed. Sabrina was in front of the Lynx player #6 and as she was taking her shot Sabrina wrapped BOTH of her arms around #6 as she leaned back into her. That WAS a foul - obvious foul. I saw it in real time but went back to rewatch it due to allthe crying by Liberty fans. I didn't care which team won so not biased. I don't enjoy watch a rigged basketball championship that was blatantly favoring New York. All the gaslighting in the world by Liberty fans won't change the fact that the game was rigged from the start for the Liberty. Engelbert's New York skyline dress signaled that loud and clear. Lynx were robbed and so was Collier - the true MVP.
