4:05 Judge here. Despite shuffling into the deck for its Special Summon, the material used ARE still considered Fusion Material, just not Fusion Material used for a Fusion Summon. It cannot be used as Fusion Material, so it cannot be shuffled into the Extra Deck as one of the cards to Special Summon another. Source: Chimeratech Fortress Dragon Rulings. LOTS of people are going to break this rule in tournaments, I can already see it.

​@@jk844100I've been tired explaining that despite mentioning "Yubel" monster, Prisma just reveals Kluger then since its name become yubel it is treated as the "Yubel" monster while the OG Yubel that was milled is treated as the 0/0 DARK Fiend.

Edit: My bad, I have not read Kruger in a looong time Does not work like that. You have to send a monster that is specifically named on the text, similar to how fusion substitutes like king of the swamp and muddy mudragon. "Yubel" monster applies more than one main deck monster, while there is only monster whose name is printed solely as "yubel". If one of the materials was just "yubel" then prisma would work.

They probably just gave the Summoned Skull a "Normal without Tributing" so the deck would actually HAVE a Normal Summon while their Sarc is up. It's also nice to have an option to Tribute over things after stealing an opponent's monster, but it DOES feel a bit backwards that the one monster that REQUIRES a Normal Summon to bring out without even more specialized tech is the one used to steal monsters, because as nice as that effect is it's not worth including 2 of these in the deck when stuff like the Gandora just does more.

Yeah and Yubel Unchained already has combos where you can make that rank 10 xyz monster that everyone thought would better as a earth machine really easily. This one fusion monster and the other level 10 Yubel monsters facilitate this combo very easily.

@@chewdoom8415 Kaleidoheart fused by a Tearlament effect is a Fusion Summon. This is a Special Summon by its own procedure and NOT a Fusion Summon. But despite the difference, both cases treat the monsters as Fusion Materials (ruling on Chimeratech Fortress Dragon) So you were correct, but for the wrong reasons.

It says fusion material and not only did you explain it here, but I also explained it in more detail under the same comment where you explained the chimeratech ruling. The only difference is that I did not go into detail here and it was made unde the assumption that other people understood that using a monster used for the fusion summon or summoning procedure of fusion summon monster was still considered to be a fusion summon.

I think Joshua might be forgetting how the Archfiend interacts with the other cards in Gold Sarc.dek For one thing, you can summon this off of Gandora, taking anything that Gandora couldn't destroy. You can also use this to bait out an interaction, before you commit to Gandora. And Gandora can then get you anything else just about It's not a bad card. You would prefer not to open it, but it's usually fine if you do, considering that this deck wants to go second anyway. Using it as your normal isnt a problem if you can also access Gandora, which the deck has 2 different search spells for EDIT: someone else also mentioned that you can take this and the stolen monster, make Sheridan, which will let you send another card to Grave, and maybe even go into Zeus if you want. Iunno, that seems alright to me. You can do all this before Gandora It only really does anything going second, but since you want to go second anyway, that's a non-issue

This would be like looking at Flamberge and going “It can’t Special Summon itself; it must be bad” The card can be searched and tutored, so that alone makes it different than Change of Heart. Not saying it’s good, but it’s a shame he didnt give this the same level of analysis he does with other cards where he looks up how you’re meant to summon it through the rest of the deck

The funny thing about this is that the summon is not once per turn, so you could summon this out turn one, do your plays, negate a nib for example, then summon it again for the opponent’s turn 😭

what the support dose is you play better against nib and you have an extra monster negate and a better follow up which is really good basically if you start with samsara you get 2monster negates full bored wipe by fusing with the trap effect if you started with field spell or samsar+an extra spichal summon you get 2 monster negate full bored wipe by fusing with trap unchained interuption both of those play against nib so pretty good

@@esrohm6460Josh either forgot or isn't aware of the ruling, but using a listed material of a fusion monster for an alternate summoning condition, like contact fusion, is still considered to be using the cards as fusion material, even if the summon itself isn't a fusion summon. For example, if you summon Chimeratech, all the Machine monsters sent to the GY are treated as monsters that were sent to the GY as fusion material, and if there is a monster on the field that cannot be used as fusion material, it also cannot be sent to the GY to summon Chimeratech.

Yubel got legitimate great ED here. The little yugi Summoned Skull is a miss. His main effect being a change of heart means it’s only useful turn 2 and he eats up your normal summon instead of being a special summon with Sarc on field. You want the gadgets as your NS so this is honestly crap
