The palette kind of reminds me of early '90s games where they still had a limited number of colors to work with so they just assigned gradients to different tilesets, with hue-shifted shading.

This game surprised me. It looks like a pretty good 3D platformer that came out of nowhere. I'm glad that the style of the 90s and 2000s 3D platformers are making a resurgence lately at least in the indie gaming space.

I think the game you were thinking of with the yo-yo aspect, is Mischief Makers on the N64, which was a blast and very colorful game. Not many folks think about it tho. Underrated

Just completed the game. Apart from a few small bugs and some boss battles that could have been tighter, it's a blast from beginning to end!

_Yo Noid!_ was a platformer protagonist with a yo-yo. Some crazy weirdos made a 3D fan-sequel that's way better than it has any right to be.

This entire game itself looks so amazing, and it's made by the same devs who made Sonic Mania. I love the colors, and graphics is very enjoyful to look at.

the things in 1-2 that you were complaining about being to sensitive, those things have a set angle for when you leave the stick in nuetural, an angle that i find to not always be the best but doesnt hinder your ability move forward

Yup, just takes some getting used to, I think the other reason I wasn't into them, is that it breaks the flow of moving through the level a bit.

Man, I thought I was one of the few people that remember Neo (good times on the Dreamcast). Personally, this game feels like a slightly more janky combo of Super Mario Odyssey and Sonic Mania with Tony Hawk's fluid combo/trick system.

Seen some unusual bad reviews on Steam for this game. People complaining that the combo system doesn't explain itself, that it's buggy, and that the levels aren't fun. I have no idea what they're talking about. I bought this on day one for Switch (maybe the Switch version isn't as buggy), and I didn't encounter an amount of bugs that ruined the experience, and I haven't really encountered any significant bugs after day 1 or 2. The levels are fun as hell once you get used to the flow of the game, and the combo system is really self explanatory. I've been having an absolute blast with this game going for high scores. I think one of the issues people may have with it is it's unusual control system. You really ought to be jumping and rolling with the shoulder buttons rather than the face buttons so that you never take your thumb away from the right stick.
