When I mention at 4:57 that I nearly lost my drone, I wasn't joking. The second I lifted off, a 39mph gust send the aircraft backwards over onto the other side of the motorway, so it was a miracle to get it back in one piece! (that's why the drone footage isn't up to my usual standards).

Subscribed just for the sheer amount of actual research put into this and the camerawork, amazing job! Newsham Signal Box will be demolished sadly

Yes, it’s a shame they’re removing that signal box, but I guess it would cost a lot to move it somewhere else.

Superb video, it's good to see another line reopening and hopefully it will exceed expectations like other reopenings have in recent years in the UK (Borders Rail and the Ebbw Vale line for example :) )

Your vlogs are super professional and interesting. I had a trip to Ashington the other day, and saw the considerable amount of work still to do, but feel that everyone wants this to be a success. 😊

It would be nice to see the Northumberland Line to extend to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. But still it’s so nice to see that trains now running on the Northumberland Line.

You were very lucky. I lost mine in a park and couldn't find it again. I still have footage from it's camera but nowhere to be found

I still think that there should be a railway line to serve Blyth and to extend the Northumberland Line to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. Still it’s nice to see the Northumberland Line back in operation.

The whole line was meant to be open in December 2023 at a cost of £166m. So a year late with only two stations completed and current cost at near £300m.

The government should invest money into opening the Northumberland line , Blyth never really had a railway station in my lifetime or in the past .

Yes it did have a station next to where Morrison's is now. Beeching closed it down in the '60's
