I worked on one of these back in the late eighties. It was a blast.

Any chance you remember who some of these actors/actresses were?

These ads were absolutely brilliant. I remember Stanley Kubrick commenting on them in his interview in Rolling Stone in 1987. This is what he said: K: "TV commercials have figured that out. Leave content out of it, and some of the most spectacular examples of film art are in the best TV commercials. Interviewer: Give me an example K: The Michelob commercials. I’m a pro-football fan, and I have videotapes of the games sent over to me, commercials and all. Last year Michelob did a series, just impressions of people having a good time - I: The big city at night K: And the editing, the photography, was some of the most brilliant work I’ve ever seen. Forget what they’re doing - selling beer - and it’s visual poetry. Incredible eight-frame cuts. And you realize that in thirty seconds they’ve created an impression of something rather complex. If you could ever tell a story, something with some content, using that kind of visual poetry, you could handle vastly more complex and subtle material." I've watched these over and over for years, the ones posted to KZbin. Speaking of the actors and actresses, in the one that uses To Live and Die in LA by Wang Chung, there is a raven-haired knockout beauty who's in three segments, but the last one, for like a split-second, highlights her face, and wow - just wow! Whatever you did on these commercials in that time period, you did amazing work.

I’m in my 30’s & still drink Original Michelob Lager (not Ultra, Amberbock or light). I loved the commercials from the 80’s when I was a kid!

Michelob should run this ad today, maybe even during the Super Bowl. Would totally beat today's crapass beer commercials.

My first beer!!! All of 15 years old!! I loved these commercials!! This one inspired me to become a radio 📻 DJ, and I did!! Over 20 years in radio, the backstage parties 🎉, the fans, just so much fun!! Michelob was my preferred 🍺 beer of choice, then on to Miller Genuine Draft!!!😅 Girls, girls and more girls!!!! Then it became something else, in fact, a serious problem...... One liver transplant later, i live for God and have accepted Christ as my Personal Savior...🙏😇 I was right at Death's door, then i was spared. Years of fun, yes. High price for that indeed. A cautionary tale perhaps, beware the booze young people, it will DESTROY YOUR LIFE!!! I just pray that maybe my story will change someones life, then it was all worth it!!!❤ God Bless You All....

Wow. I don't remember this song for Michelob. I only remember Tonight, Tonight. That's cool. Regardless, I saw Genesis at Dodger Stadium May 23, 1987, and they had a huge blow up balloon shaped like a Michelob Beer Bottle. It was an epic concert.

This commercial played when I was a child and trying to figure out who I was. I chose to be the guy at kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2XFc2mPidh8gKc. I got blindsided with trim and forgot that I am not here on Earth for that. I am here to praise Jesus. He is my King. Perhaps when it became too easy is when I learned to seek a real reason to keep wanting to commit reverse-suicide.
