You can't go wrong if you want to see a lot of freight trains on the NNL I went twice in December for two short time visits.

Great selection from your two visits Mike, really gives an idea of just how much freight there is across the Capital - and how many lorries that keeps off the roads! If they do end up diverting all the Anglia container traffic off the GEML via Ely instead it'll take some of these away, but no sign of that yet.

Well they divert on Saturday’s sometimes so I think all would work ok, but I don’t like change so let’s keep it like it is now Darren. I did miss some working off, which will come out in the wash one day.

Great video Mike. I must say WOW that 59 sounded AMAZING! (11:43 or something like that) there’s not many videos showing them go idle to notch 8!

You have made a interesting point Al. Will have to try and put a class 59 video sometime. Cheers.

Hi Mike..great stuff, never miss any of your vids, some quality footage there pal, nice to see some long haul freights as opposed to trippers, locos working same diagrams day in day out. Always found stafford and willesden junction good places to visit. keep up the good work. regards IAN

I'm surprised its only two tracks for a busy inner city line. Its surprising how small uk loading gauge is (I'm British/North walian). I remember the alumnium and bromide trains going through Bangor, and the flasks from wylfa - shame theres no freight on the North Wales coast now. I vaguely remember castle cement trains at Bangor, and possibly royal mail trains. Im only 42 but I would like to see the line to caernarfon reopen, possibly the one to bethesda too. sometimes wonder what the railways would have looked like if Broad gauge had of become the standard gauge.

Yes there is only the flask train left on that North Wales line now, thanks for your comment and for watching Tony.

Excellent stuff Mike, Amazing how much freight there is in the London area. Just imagine that lot going by road, total gridlock I would 🤔. Well done 🤓🏍️

excellent shots on a busy line👍 we've got freight trains going through ramsgate from hoo junction up yard to dumpton park on Saturday which doesn't happen very much at all. the last time that happened was the 10th & 11th November 2018 we might get a odd one early in the morning about 4.00

Great vid, you got all hr vantage points covered, but try Hampstead Heath next time as everything that rolls thru Gospel rolls thru there coz at Gospel goblin line Overground trains can obscure a good view of freight and locos using it too.. Stock moves use the line too , have seen some sweet locos trundling thru on their own aswell

Good video showing the traction on show. Shame the unit blocked you so you could only film 86s going away from you.
