@KungaMatata10 жыл бұрын
trumpetking11 Oh yeah I remember that video. Yea I hope they review that, and The College Dropout
@Sadvillainy10 жыл бұрын
Overrated project. Liked it, don't get me wrong, but the lyricism was average. Beats were great for most tracks and the features were hit or miss. College Dropout and Late Registration were better.
@KungaMatata10 жыл бұрын
SONYroxs The lyricism fit the feel and emotion of every song. Runaway, Hell of a Life, Blame Game, Gorgeous, Power, So Appalled, Devil in a New Dress, and Dark Fantasy all have certain verses with true lyricism. Raekwon, Jay Z, Pusha T, John Legend, hell, EVEN Nicki and Rick Ross had tight verses. Every song had a purpose being on there which is why I feel its his best album.
@Sadvillainy10 жыл бұрын
His lyricism wa AVERAGE, sometimes corny and nonsense, Jay had two weak verses and some songs were pointless and went on too long. I guess since it's Kanye, we can excuse all of that.
@carloscafe399410 жыл бұрын

I'm the same as Feefo, got hooked as an 11 year old on tne I'll be Missing You Police Sample, bought No Way Out, listened to Biggie on Victory, immediately bought Life After Death. I just wore Life After Death out. Then when I got to freshman year of high school me and one of my friends went to the "CD store" bought Ready to Die and just spent the next school year riding around smoking weed and listening to that album over and over and over again. Pretty sure I know every lyric to every song on the album. Great review.

Love the nostalgia, keep making great content DEHH. back in '94 I didnt want to like biggie, for whatever reason, and all i knew was big poppa and the one more chance remix. we would just clown him for being fat and keep listening to 2pac. Fast forward to 2011, im in Best Buy and i see the remastered CD, so i buy it. The ENTIRE time im listening to it, every track, im getting more and more pissed off at myself for not buying this album when i was 15. ironically, i bought Life after Death the day it came out, and to this day it is still my favorite CD. After listening to Ready to Die, it made Life after death even better. I had the same experience with Eminem, i didnt want to like the white rapper with bleached hair, and never bought the Slim Shady EP, but i bought Marshal Mathers LP the day it came out, and didnt listen to SS until 2002, and it made MMLP even better. The story telling and them painting the picture of life through their eyes is what makes them both so good.
@thikblk910 жыл бұрын
Man, listening to you guys reminisce about the time period was equally as good as the review of the album itself. Getting blank cassettes, getting locked out by moms, took me back. It's crazy, because at the time I thought Tical was the better album. Now the only rap album I like better than Ready To Die is Illmatic.

So feefo is my age...I remember when ready to die came out I was too young to fully understand...But I did love BIG POPPA. Oh did.I love that song...I feel every kid in 4th grade sung the lyrics everyday cuz it was on the radio. It's like the world stopped when I.heard it for the first time. Now I listen to ready to.die and it blows me away. Like.they said...if you don't like ready too die, you don't like hip hop..that simple.

My Favorite Song is Everyday Struggle because something about is so relatable and the best song to me is Unbelievable Premo just bless Biggie was some ill shit. Overall This Album is Flawless, Biggie's Flow, Delivery, Story Telling is Undeniable Ready to Die is Undeniable and Classic Record everyone could listen too and enjoy in their own way
