Dead End Hip Hop

Күн бұрын

The Notorious B.I.G.'s impact on hip hop is undeniable. Biggie's Ready to Die was released September 13th, 1994. The 4x platinum album was the first album released on Bad Boy and featured production from Easy Mo Bee, DJ Premier, Lord Finesse, and more. Thanks to your votes, Biggie's Ready to Die was the first selection picked by popular demand as the first album review for our new Classic Album Review series. In this video, we share our Biggie stories and much more as we discuss the album that would go on to become a classic years later. On March 9th, 1997, we lost one of the best to do it. RIP Biggie.
Dead End Hip Hop Classic Albums were in high demand and we are finally launching the series! Each month, each of us will pick an album to review. On deadendendhiphop.com (deadendhiphop.c..., you can find the five selections up for consideration for that month and the album with the most votes will be reviewed.

I'm the same as Feefo, got hooked as an 11 year old on tne I'll be Missing You Police Sample, bought No Way Out, listened to Biggie on Victory, immediately bought Life After Death. I just wore Life After Death out. Then when I got to freshman year of high school me and one of my friends went to the "CD store" bought Ready to Die and just spent the next school year riding around smoking weed and listening to that album over and over and over again. Pretty sure I know every lyric to every song on the album. Great review.

***** All Eyez On Me is second on my list. I enjoy Me Against the World more-so because Pac is more personal on it and I feel more emotion in his lyrics. Love All Eyez on Me, just differently. 7 Day Theory also comes back to that side of Pac that you barely see on All Eyez On Me, but is featured prominently on Me Against the World. All just preference though, so I can respect your opinion. Would love a review for either album.
