Great video! I love how you simplified bicep training with just two effective exercises while also explaining the science behind them. The tips on form and progressive overload were super helpful! A bit of trimming on repetitive points could make it even more engaging, but overall, awesome job making this actionable and easy to follow. Definitely inspired to try that superset strategy!

You could use a tilt up bench, set the bench to 45, 50 degrees up. You could use the armrest of your couch. You could sit down and use your elbow by placing your elbow on your knee.

There is something wrong with me, I have bizarre love of reverse barbell curl, even though it spreads load into foreams. Functionally prevents injury from repeatedly lifting 10lb equipment one handed grip, 5-600x times a day, week at a time. 😉

Hammer curls are the shizzle. You can do a balls load of weight and make you look strong as shit. Switch to hammer curls then you will lift a balls load and get a forearm and a bicep workout as well.

@obiwan0072 ай бұрын
Not really sure hwo the standing bb curl is so much different from the preacher curl. Only if you curl the brabel a bit wider in grip, you would target the muscles a bit different. The preacher curl has both upper arms more or less parallel I guess. I would prefer a machine for the curls as it gives you a constant force against your biceps - instead of just the gravity with the barbels - which is highly dependant on the angle.

Why not use EZ bar for stood up curls? Is it because of wrist? I always do ez curls but I got brain damage as a teen and resulted in mobility issues in my left hand (my hand operates like a claw all at once or not at all). When doing curls the ez bar feels so much more comfortable and when I do press ups I use press up bars and have them at angles as again feels more comfortable on my gimpy side.

Keep going. You'll really start to notice after 6 mos. If you're not already overweight, then eat in a slight caloric surplus, get your protein, center carbs around your workout (pre and post) and get ample sleep. Building muscle takes years, but by 6mos you should see some results, more after 1 yr. Then it just continues.

Just guessing. I do this daily on everything I typed

Doing bicep curls with a straight bar is uncomfortable. I'd choose an EZ-Bar over a straight bar when doing curls, and even then standard bicep curls exercise is garbage. I would replace it with at least a cable curl or incline curls.
@dr.richardjurica80292 ай бұрын
Doesn't hit the heads the same. Perhaps a little fear of hard work?
@KirinFire962 ай бұрын
@dr.richardjurica8029 Not really, it's just not a good biceps exercise. You only get tension at the middle of the curl and curling with a straight bar wrecks your wrists. I'd argue that cable curls are better because you get even tension on both the bottom and top.
