I busted out in tears because I have a fun memory of the oak ridge boys I have from back in the day when they were on the road. We saw their tour bus either on our way to Franklin, Tn or on the way back to Michigan. We would catch up with them after taking breaks. It was a fun game for us!

Thanks Penny for this nostalgic song. Every time I hearg this song, it conjurs up images of Cassandra Peterson as 'The Mistres of the Dark' despite it being written 22 yeaars, by Dallas Frazier, before her show premiered. Dallas originally recorded the song in 1966. I have seen and met them once. Thank you for the review

I heard an Oak Ridge Boys song this week that I was unaware of. They won a Grammy in their early years, around 1970, for "Baptism of Jesse Taylor". Good song!

This is a pretty Iconic song of the early to Mid 80's. Yeah, I just heard earlier this evening on "Country Gold Saturday Night" that Joe Bonsell had passed away.

I grew up on The Oaks. I always thought William Lee Golden was the base singer back then. I wish they’d do what they have done since their inception in the 40’s & keep going with new singers filling in when one passes or has to quit. You should checkout some of their 70’s gospel videos available on KZbin. I suggest Jesus Is Coming Soon & He’s Gonna Smile On Me.
