I remember seeing these guys almost every year (mid-to-late 70s) at Dalton, GA High School. This kind of Gospel music just doesn't exist anymore.

This was the Oaks before their prime--- and definitely singing songs B4 their time!!! That's why they have always been a CLASS ACT, RELEVANT, VERSATILE, HAD GREAT TALENT TOP TO BOTTOM, UNIQUE HARMONIES, AND DIDN'T TRY TO BE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAD THEIR OWN VIBE AND UNIQUE SOUND---- THAT MADE THEM RELEVANT IN EVERY GENERATION, FROM THE 60S TO 2017!!!! (NO COOKIE CUTTER W/ THE OAKS--( And that's why I have always enjoyed these guys sound, there entire career has been ** OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!** THEY R WHAT THEY R--- PERIOD!!!!!! HaHaHa!!!! ( FOR EXAMPLE:: WHAT DID U ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE UNIQUE SOUND, THE INDIVIDUAL VOICES, THE RADIO, TELEVISION APPEARANCES, THE LIVE CONCERTS, THEIR VERSATILITY IN SINGING,, GOSPEL, COUNTRY, COUNTRY ROCK, AND; **WHAT WAS THE POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS THEY MADE WHEN THEY TOOK THE BOLD STEP OF CROSSING OVER FROM SOUTHERN GOSPEL TO MODERN TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC???** WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PERSONAL LINEUP THROUGH THE YEARS, AND, DO YOU THINK AMERICA IS READY FOR ANOTHER GROUP LIKE THE OAKS IN 2017???---- NO WRONG ANSWER!!!! Also...does anyone remember that they would do a comedy bit with music that was a parody of other gospel groups of the time? It was hilarious. I can't find anything about it here or with Google, so help me out if you know please.
