to be truly self sufficient it needs to be able to rebuild rockets that robotug and his weak work ethic surely must crash on a constant basis. get extraplanetary launchpads and start mining all that metal, refine it and expand. love this series!

How about an explodium sea fort? Use parts to make a building that looks like a Royal Navy sea fort, and then use ore canisters to sink it in a really shallow bit of Eve's oceans. It could serve as a research vessel, a grape bubble gum research center, or even a spa, where Evians can go relax, gat a massage, eat snacks, or skip pop rocks over the grape soda seas. (My guess is that explodium is the Kerbal name for grape soda.)

When people talk about an Mun-SSTO they often mean a SSTO which not only flys from KSC to Orbit, but also can land on Mun. An Eve-SSTO could mean that it can fly from KSC to Eve, but also from Eve's surface to Eve's Orbit. Which this SSTO both can do.

Nice footage and fancy words, what a combination that is. As for ideas, how about a 3-seat electric science plane, kind of like the venus exploration plans with the balloon and stuff? Or submarines for the explodium sea? Or a reusable Low Eve orbit-gilly-low kerbin orbit-minmus crew transportation system with a small kerbin ssto attached? A moho exploration mission based on the eve structure?

As someone who's tried messing around with Eve submarines, unless they've changed some things in 1.2, you can't make them. None of the parts are dense enough.

well, from some rather unsuccessful eve landers I know that aerospikes sink. Overall, engines in ksp are pretty dense, so this would be a possibility.
