Fun fact: I live in the country of Belize (the same one mcafee was in when he did committed a murder) and outside one of my country’s towns there is a bridge. Right next to that bridge is a House that I’ve never seen it being used by anyone. One day me and my dad were leaving town and we passed the house and out of curiosity I asked my dad who that house was for and he told me how it belonged to a guy by the name of John mcafee and he told me his story and how The reason why his house has been abandoned for years is because after he did all his crazy shit in my country he went on the run so he never had time to come back. However after he was caught his house mysteriously burned down (I’m not to sure what happened to it you can look it up) but I believe it may of have had to do with the assassination conspiracy (from my speculation I’m not to sure) this is just something interesting I wanted to share with you guys I may have gotten some stuff wrong my memory is a little fuzzy

I've a big issue with people constantly calling George lazy. Being a writer, or artist of any kind is incredibly taxing work, especially at his level. Its just like Miura with Berserk. You can complain all you want, but there is a reason every single chapter is a masterclass. He took his time and only wrote when he was inspired and had the story figured out. George has most likely been working on the next book on and off since his last. Believe it or not, books don't write themselves. However, I am currently writing my first graphic novel, and writers block is a real thing, as well as perfectionism in a concept. He has so many more eyes on him, I can only imagine the anxiety. I spent almost 6 months world building and taking notes with a rough outline, and have just began scripting. These things are meticulous, and for a man with such a rich world to continue, its a tough feat to tie everything up in a cohesive manner. Generally, an author will have things front loaded. I know I have ideas for sequels/ spin offs already. If it's not ready to be released, he's not happy with it, and you should respect that if you're a fan. If not, you shouldn't be slandering him or concerned at all. I do whole heartedly feel for and understand being disappointed, but to attack the man's character is extremely entitled imo. Id personally rather my lifes work never finished than tarnished by a rushed cash grab, and I assume he is the same... along with having ravenous fans at his neck. The pressure can not be understated. We all know how bad fandoms are at this point

It wasn't Lily who was the main accusation, it was Yvonne. Yvonne got sexually harassed by Fed when he was drunk (not her). After several times where she told him she wasn't comfortable with him coming into her room, she eventually got broke down and jut stopped mentioning it. He also slept in the girls bed frequently (never the guys tho) and excused it by being drunk. One time when he was drunk he tried to touch Yvonne's breast (didn't hit but she alleges it was damn close) which made her freeze up. He also didn't hump them or anything but it is still sexual harassment. The Lily situation was when she just got cheated on, was very heartbroken, and then he said while drunk that he liked her (after giving her massage from her feet to thighs) which made her incredibly uncomfortable. Other than the sexual harassment allegations, OTV was warning others about his manipulative behaviours as he had been venting to others about OTV and giving them false impressions. Basically, he was sabotaging their connections or possible friendships. Poki was especially on the end of this since they were romantically interested in each other and understandably Poki wasn't sure if she wanted a relationship at the time so she never made it a thing. There were a lot of manipulative things he did which made her uncomfortable and ultimately made her not want to date him. Like Charlie said, Toast did say they all had an intervention with him and rather than owning up, he went and vented to other people painting himself as a victim which is why it went public. There's some stuff I've skimmed over but this is the main gist of things from what I gathered. I kept up with it because I'm a fan of OTV and the individual creators and hope this helped giving a bit more insight.

To be fair to George R.R. Martin, the show writers made up whatever past his books at the time. So the reason why the show's ending was bad was because the original source material wasn't there. Also George told his assistants that if he ever died, he would write scripts for them to continue the books, not the show.

Recently got lost in a rabbit hole of Game of Thrones lore and had an epiphany. George RR Martin is obsessed with side characters and world-building, the majority of which does not matter. In the last book he introduced another Sand Snake who is poised to work with Sam and (possibly) Jaqen H'ghar to research a way to defeat the Dragons & the White Walkers. GRRM will spend the rest of his life fleshing this out and the HBO series just said "Bro, dragons are just flying horses and White Walkers have three known weakness, it is not rocket science." GRRM likely realized that each book got him further and further from a satisfying ending and he only had himself to blame.

I could see a Mario Puzo situation happening with GRRM. When he died, someone else took over and used the manuscripts for the last few books to finish The Godfather series. Who’ll take over after GRRM afterwards, who knows, but I hope to god it’s not the idiots who ran the show. To add to your conversation, it’s possible he wrote himself into a wall with how many POV he wrote that it’s probably hard for him to get things going. Maybe he kills characters to shock readers, but maybe he kills characters to cut down the POV he has to write for every character.
