The biggest problem with politics and voting is we treat candidates like SPORTS TEAMS, and NOT like an actual resume of their past work. That's why voters are uneducated. They see a name and vote by feelings, not logic.

I'm left leaning and have a far right friend. We engage in discourse and respect each other as best as we can. I recommend this quiz for anyone who's still on the fence. Trump supporters are not garbage. I'm sorry we have a tone deaf president in charge right now that said that, but he's old and has a heart. People with hearts feel pain when something offensive is said. People who don't are either in the army, who are trained to turn their hearts to steel, or they are insecure snowflakes that live in a glass house. The "fuck your feelings" movement is bullshit, which was proven by every single right winger offended by Biden's gaffe. Those people were either offended or hypocrites who are secretly overjoyed that Biden said something to further divide them and justify their vote. TL;DR: Respect where it is due, and I likely haven't earned any at all with my rhetoric. We just have to throw away the whole state. The current political scene is breeding a situation where civil discourse is dead.

You know, like the time she sent a woman to jail because her daughter was truant *due to heart failure.* Or how she tried to send a man to be executed while *illegally withholding the evidence that exonerated him.* Or how she was nearly held in contempt because she refused to comply with a judge's orders to release all non-violent offenders who'd served the mandatory minimum to reduce prison overcrowding because, and I quote, "That will deny California a critical workforce service," or in other words *"No, I will not free the slaves."* Republicans keep trying to say she's soft on crime, when she is the exact opposite. She's the worst hardass in the history of California prosecutors. The US needs to give up on the 2 party system and introduce proportional system, even if with a high entry threshold at first to make people used to it during a transitional stage, and gradually lower it over decades to international standards.
