Hearing this song is always so somber for me...from what my mom tells me, it was my grandfather's favorite Christian hymn. And my grandfather was...pretty much unlike anyone else I can describe, he was Christian in all the best possible ways and one of the absolute most wonderful people I ever knew. And he especially adored his grandchildren. I was a pallbearer at his funeral, and they played this song at it...and I think it was the first time I ever heard it, actually. And yes, I can't really deny it, it's a wonderful song, but it brings out some extra emotions out of me that are a bit hard to describe, I'd say. But it reminds me of my grandfather, someone I really looked up to, because of that. I always think of him whenever I hear this song in church.

This was my grandmother‘s favorite song when she was alive! Yesterday marks her third birthday in heaven and my third anniversary of being married. I was so grateful to have her as my mom growing up and to have her raise me! I miss her so much every day and I love her so much and I wish that she was still here and she could’ve met my husband and my son! On her deathbed she knew that I would marry my husband and I will be a mother to his son. I’m so blessed to of had her as my grandma and her as my mom

Mr. eight-Three-One Amen to that. I lost my dear mom on Jan.22 2019. I still cant believe it .Listening to this song reminds me that according to the bible we will see our loved ones on that day, when the Lord comes back.If Jesus suffered on the cross, what we suffered from losing a loved one is nothing near to what the son of God suffered. It hurts, believe me I know.I am 60 and still cry for my mom.
