If its a house paint truck, then the chrome bumper is a lipstick on a pig... put a real push bumper like a tow truck would have. Wiring on the alternator was correct partly as you need hot always coming to the large post, then the two wire was for one was into the gauge panel and the other is a momentary hot for the trigger for the alternator to charge. I would switch it out in your case for a single hot one wire alternator. I would use relays for the electric fuel pump, and the fan system so the drain would not be there... or as I am trying to say, the relay is on a hot trigger wire for the key system to give it voltage when key on and off entirely when key off to stop voltage drain.

Well she runs & deserves some upgrades. Plus you have a parts truck. No brainier. LS is good but save it. Have something dependable. Plus better to have something you can use to haul a vehicle. Enjoyed video.

Haha, I’ve had days like that where everything I fixed needed one more thing that I forgot to do. Keep at it. You’ll get there. The cowl hood would be nice and add the duelies on the back would be awesome. Definitely do not paint it. I want that truck when you are done with it! 😊❤

All you need is a 3/8 to 1/2” npt fitting. And you definitely should’ve put either pipe dope or Teflon tape on that plug

$15 dollars cheaper. I would move just because of that! Lol Plus it’s way to hot. My daughter lives there. I had to send her a a/c unit for her apartment.

I'm sure you have a good bumper laying around there somewhere with all those square bodies .
@johnnyjohnson5361 Жыл бұрын
You could get a tap and retap the treads on the intake that would save time and money. I had to retap the threads on my intake and it worked like a charm and still holding 5yrs later . 👍
@IowaBudgetRCBashers Жыл бұрын
It’s pipe thread, it’s tapered, and only a few threads are needed to seal provoking that Teflon tape or pipe dope is used

Best place for the cooling fan sensor is to remove one of the coolant plugs in the head, it’s where GM puts them from the factory and where they have worked best for me.

The fuseable links coming out the fuse box going to the fire are blown that's why your not getting power when that wire not hooked up
@williesweetjr8713 Жыл бұрын
Possible bad rectifier in the alternator, fusible link in the 10 guage wire from starter solenoid that supplies current to alternator. The next fusible link is in the main harness from the alternator going to the firewall junction block. That's some pretty good " Tom Foolery!" Don't trade mark the term cause I need to use it to discribe the various levels of hackery, jack legged, duct tapped, zip tied and other terms of back yard engineering I do! Put it on a some merch and sell it! Yep, I'll buy it!

I’m sure that’s true, but the parts he took are not easy to come by in good shape. I’m guessing it was easier to take the ones off the black dodge. Plus I don’t think he is hurting for money.
