In Manhattan NYC I typically see 6 delivery bicyclists at a time waiting at McDonald's in the evenings to pick up orders. They have GrubHub and Postmates bags. The restaurants also post signs showing use of Uber Eats, Seamless, etc. Seems to be a lot of work. And no car, insurance or gas expense.

When. You multi app you need to know each miles driven to each app when doing taxes , and did you factor in just driving around but slow on the orders taken ? Do I need to know how many miles I drive per app. When I file taxes or is as a whole when filling miles ?

Small arithmetic error in your summary slide. Your dollars per mile was actually $1.50 not $1.25. I'm always very interested in your numbers since we drive the same zones. In the vid you say 1.25 per mile is not too bad and I have to disagree... 1.50 would be disappointing for me ... 1.25 is abysmal ... I'm shooting for 2.00 and I avg around 1.85. I also notice in the montages that it looks like you don't count your drive home miles... I know they don't count for IRS deductions but I DO count them as an expense. But hey I'm a part timer, so i value different things. To me minimizing expenses (meaning fuel/mtc costs/taxes) and maximizing NET income per WEEK are more important to me than just about everything else. And I treat it like a business not a w2 job, so the business has to pay its own way in every respect. Nice video. Hope the sponsorship does well for you. :)

No. You can even use it while riding a bike. You need to turn it on and leave it on the whole time you are dashing or doing uber. And after you are done with your shift, turn it off. I hope that answered your concern.

If you’re using the mileage deduction then you can’t use those deductions come tax season, it’s one or the other. But yes there is a way to enter manual expenses👍🏻

@@papasmurph4661 the IRS doesn't let you switch back and forth from year to year ... the first year that you claim a vehicle you pick either "milage deduction" or "actual expenses" method for that vehicle... if you pick actual then the following year you can decide again ... but I you ever pick the mileage method then that vehicle has to be mileage every year from then on. So unless you had big expenses your first year you are probably going to do better choosing mileage ... and then you are locked into that choice for future years. (Not sure how they enforce this aside from audits, but that's my understanding of the rules).
