Have you ever wondered how close Laugh Tale must be to Luffy's home in the East Blue? The Straw Hats crossed the Red Line once at Reverse Mountain, then again at Sabaody to get to the New World. That means the final island at then end of the New World is just before Reverse Mountain, or a direct trip from Loguetown across the Calm Belt.

My super serious opinion is that it is close to Loguetown and that it is under the redline on the other side of reverse mountain more or less. I don’t have a ton of evidence off the cuff BUT most of this thought comes from seeing a Japanese KZbinr Drop the Pizza explain a translation/interpretation of the Kanji used by Roger when he declares that he left One Piece and that there’s evidence that he hinted it’s right there, as in NEARBY! Great comment!

Weirdly never even considered it to be underwater, but it makes a lot of sense. They do say the final "island" is at the end of the grand line, which the Red Line also happens to be at.

@acev337 Honestly I think it’s very likely that the explorable world is much larger than we could have ever expected!

i really think it would be good story telling if oda one day makes luffy befriend one of the evil people in an island first, and as the arc continues luffy and the crew discover the atrocities that person is responsible for, it would be a small detail but an interesting read that would be so cool if the evil person just seemed so normal at first like not even trying to be nice or evil just neutral, and the country seemed normal having no conflict and then when as they used to the strawhats have fun and explore the island, nami going shopping, zoro getting beer and getting lost, luffy getting food etc they find suttle dark clues. :3

Oda did say in an SBS that the One Piece is an actual treasure, whatever that means.

Yeah that’s true…I think it means it’s not like an empty treasure chest or something like on gaimon’s island. I’m just excited to one day see if this gets close at all. I’ve been sitting on this analysis and stuff for over a year and I still feel the same with new chapters only reinforcing the interpretation.

​@@BigDadPirates It was said the world would be turned upside down once it's discovered. We already have seen stored Joyboy's haki. What about stored Gear 5 effects? What if it's something that is also a grave and around it is all of the gifts meant for that person, all of this treasure, and flowers. And at once, an object there or a knot that would actually flip the world upside down in some real way. With Oda's creativity and the space-scale of One Piece, I greatly look forward to what it may be. They laughed, possibly because of the tragedy as you said, and also because it was funny, if that knot was there so JoyBoy and his lover could "tie the knot".

@acev337 I feel like that would fit the polarity shift theories that I’ve heard about before. I haven’t personally researched it too much but there a lot of interesting stuff with Jaya, Skypeia and the Redline that seems related to that. Interesting!

I still think Laugh Tale was found after the world was submerged. I think the only place under the sea we are ever going to see is Fisgman Island.

Yeah it’s tough to say and I’d say an important question would be would joy boy put the one piece somewhere he’d know it’d be under water when it’s needed? Possibly, possibly not. You do need 4 road Ponegliffs to find laugh tale which means you might need a z axis coordinate to actually find it.

@@BigDadPirates I don't think Roger actually knows what the one piece is, I reckon he got to raftel but couldn't actually access it. I'm also guessing they didn't laugh when they got to raftel. When Roger left the crews the narrator said "No one cried" when everyone was crying so I reckon it's something like that. The reason why I think it's a fusion reactor is that the Sun is like the most important symbol in one piece and the Sun in itself is literally a massive fusion reactor.

Definitely possible! I guess my idea is that the One Piece is a story and this story acts as a telling of the story of Joy Boy or Lily.
