I went with the Canyon at4 because I needed the leather, heated front seats and power passenger seat. I didn't get tech packages because I didn't need heads up display or 360 camera. I wish the trail boss had leather, heat, and power for the seats

Yeah, the lack of power passenger seat is disappointing, especially in the ZR2. I definitely prefer the look of the AT4 over the Trail Boss. Thanks for the comment.

Colorado definitely the best value out there 👍

I have the Revolver X4s on my Silverado and love it. Its the best of both worlds - roll up size of a soft and security of a hard tonneau. Yes it was expensive, but worth it for me!

When I get some money together I’m pretty sure I’ll wind up with the X4S. Thanks for letting me know it’s good!

Completely agree with everything you said here. I’ve been in company Silverados for ten years, and I don’t really need a full-size anymore. My boss and I have two Canyon AT4s on order. Got a screaming deal through our fleet account. Can’t wait! The 4-auto coupled with the G80 locker make these trucks extremely capable in poor conditions without having to constantly shift or change drive modes, etc. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I also believe the rear locker in the ZR2 can be activated in 2-hi/4-hi, while the Tacoma must be in 4-lo. I could be wrong about that.

Hey, thanks for the comment. I’m no expert on these trucks, just a dude who bought one. I believe the rear locker can be activated in 2hi, and stays locked until you hit 20mph. It will stay locked at higher speeds if you’re in off-road mode. The front locker on the ZR2 will only work in 4lo and under 20mph.

My Dad had one of those small Chevy trucks. It had to have 4 transmissions by 75,000 miles. My sister and I got rid of it and bought him a Tacoma. It lasted the last 10 years of his life, without a minutes trouble. I have a Ram PowerWagon with zero problems. No more Chevys for me. One gets what one pays for. Cheap prices mean cheap trucks. You are delusional if you think a Chevy truck is in the same league as a Toyota.

@@robertgoodrich8953 time will tell if reliability holds with the new 4 cylinder in the Tacoma. I never said the Chevy was more reliable than the Tacoma. As a matter of fact I said the opposite! I hate to be a Debbie downer but naturally aspirated engines won’t be produced much longer due to increasing emissions regulations.

@@robertgoodrich8953We’ve had a number of Colorado/Canyon trucks in our fleet. First was a ‘15 Canyon that went 375k with almost no issues. Engine lost the oil pump and we swapped in a low-mile replacement and the truck went to 440k when the trans cooler mixed with the coolant. Still got $3500 for trade from the dealer. Our ‘19 is now at 298k with almost no issues but a few small leaks. We also have two ‘20 Colorados, both at about 150k, one just went in for a transmission under extended warranty which we get on all the trucks. The Silverado/Sierras are not nearly as reliable. We do a lot of miles. I personally do about 45k/year, my boss does about 60k/year. We look at more than just longevity with our trucks, we need performance and capability as well, and I believe that GM offers the best value, all-around mid-size truck on the market. Our new rigs are due in by April, and we’ll be loading them up with miles, so I’ll be able to really put the new design to the test. We also have a ‘23 Silverado 2.7L turbo to test. I get the whole “toyota reliability” thing, but the GM trucks are more capable at a better price.

@robertgoodrich8953 sounds like it was just a bad owner. I've had my chevy 20 years. Passed it on to my kids and getting a new one.
