hi!nice explain!if i use stabilizer (hohem gimbal) with the dji action 4 can i have the rocksteady on for better stabilization or is better to have it of to avoid possible ghosting or jittering(although i using stabilize gimbal...)?im using nd filters (at the day)and im following the 180 degree rule(i shoot 50fps -100 shutter).Thanks(your replay will be very useful for me🙂)
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens3 ай бұрын
Hello. The jitters are a cause of the shutter speed being too slow and the camera shaking. I think if you use a gimbal, then there shouldn't be any difference between using Rocksteady or not. Just the additional crop. Also there won't be a lot of jitters with 1/100s. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Great video! I have bought an Action 4 to capture fishing in Australia from my boat. I fish in low light and midday too. Is there a single lens you would recommend (to prevent me needing to change lenses while at sea)? Many thx
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens4 ай бұрын
Hello. Well the ND filters have to be swapped out because they have a fixed neutral density. In your case I would recommend the polarizer. This way you can get more colour saturation. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hi there, I have the dji action 4 cam and was wondering if the dji action 1 lenses work on the action 4? because I've noticed that there is a macro 15x lens for the action 1 cam but not the action 4. Can this be compadible some how?

Hello. No the threads are different. I have NDs for OA1 and they don't fit on the OA4. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hi, I just want to buy a polarizing filter, I read a review the freewell isn't waterproof the Action 4. Do you know if this is true? Thx
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens3 ай бұрын
Hello. Could ne true because you attach it to your existing lens guard. The water might get between. In your case, you would need a screw on filter that you mount instead of the lens guard. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Freewell - PLEASE make a glimmer glass and/or black pro mist for the Action 4.

Hello and thank you for many helpful videos, like how to blur background on davinci or minimum shutter speed for EIS works correct! Following text is my opinion only, suitable for me and not for everybody. When you use action camera the way its meant to be used (filming action), why will you film in 25 fps? Near to no one will do that! All those 180 degree and "pretty looking motion blur" are outdated rules from "good old" time where no digital cameras was created yet and people was using photographic film in their cameras whith no technology modern fast fps digital cameras. Se no reason to shoot in 25 fps, as when you watch moving object (especially horizontally), you see not a smooth, but intermittent movement. If you have normal, not slowed perception, then you see that the 50+ fps gives more smooth and less blurry video. You can see it in movies, you can see it in games. There is software out there, which increase fps of moves you watch to 50/60 fps and it looks way more better and smooth. (see Smooth Video Project). Give it a try if you find it interesting.

Hello! I totally agree with what you wrote. It's wey better to shoot action with higher frame rates and play them back with that high frame rate than the "cinematic" 25fps. I'm actually preparing a video on this topic. Thanks for the comment. I really appriciate it. Cheers!

Shit, if I put filters on mine and use the 180 rule the footage isn’t even usable with rocksteady on.
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens3 ай бұрын
Hello. The 180 rule should only be used with a fixed or slow-moving camera. This goes for all cameras, not just action cameras, because motion equals motion blur, and if you stabilize after, then the motion blur is visible on a nonshaky video and it looks weird. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
