for the nerd neck, I found sleeping without a pillow for a few months helps correct that quite a bit, especially if you find yourself folding your pillow in half or sleeping on thicker ones

@1001mudit2 жыл бұрын
You missed a very important posture upper/mid back corrector muscle which is Serratus anterior. Trust me if this is weak no amount of reverse flys or back extensions or rows can get out of the rounded & dropped shoulder and mid back hump. Once, Serratus kicks in the results of other exercises would be visible pretty soon and your shoulder pain or pinch would be gone for good. DO include shoulder packed overhead military press with an emphasis on protraction and very slow controlled descend not below the chin level which will force your Serratus anterior in a prolonged contracted position with scapula upward rotated throughout the 10 reps or whatever reps you do in a set. Now, you have your posture on a correction path.
@PrimeTime232 жыл бұрын
Any video out there u recommend to watch to get serratus activated?
@@Taophysique Pushups and plus variations of it are good but not complete. The lower fibers of the Serratus require some form of overhead pressing at an angle higher than 110 all the way to 180. These lower fibers of Serratus support posterior tilt strongly and help open up chest properly which further helps greatly with the posture. Besides, bodyweight pushups plus with proper form may be too tough for those who already have a very weak compromised Serratus anterior muscle as hey would find it too difficult to depress the scapula during the descend phase of pushup as the scapula would keep on jumping up into the upper traps and neck. With overhead presses one can start with really light weight like a 4 pound dumbbell and progress correctly from there.
