I've started building my first bugout a couple of months ago. Completely new to it but used one of your CEMO surplus videos as a base to work from. I started with the PLCE long back (bigger must me better right???😅) & began filling it with everything... sleeping bag, bivvy, basha, air matt, poncho, hammock, crusader kit, hexi stove, gas stove, meth stove, water bottles, camel bladder & if something had a compression sack or stuff sack designed for it, I bought it... bags withing bags within bags like russian dolls. After using it in the outdoors, I dawned on me it's the right kit not the amount of kit. I'm still happy with what I've collected but using it in the field really cause it to evolve fast & give me the confidence to shed what I don't need & use critical thinking to solve problems without buying a solution of Amazon. Too many bugout bag videos on youtube involve reeling off Amazon wishlists of hundreds of products. But not a single piece of warm clothing. If things ever got serious these men will freeze to death in their night vision goggles clutching their crossbow.

Thanks Bex..i have also the Dutch army Saracen and the original Lowe Alpine together with the Army Berghaus...I used both in the Dutch army and still the Berghaus I my favourite even with less litre...its feels more sturdy and solid.....no nonsense pack.👊🏽👍🏾

Thanks Bex! As always, informative and inspiring. Have been using 90 Pattern PLCE webbing + NI Patrol pack, but wanting some more capacity have jumped up to the CS95 Short Back. I can see how you start to get a collection going...

I've got a nitehawk bucketseat in the longback and wondered if it'd fit into the turtle, two of those as panniers would be proper imo. Never considered that style of bucket though so maybe ditch the NH and have a couple of those instead. 😂

Gold prospecting with flexi tubs is so much easier. I work out of the buckets on the shore, rather than standing in cold water for hours to pan out now...Only dust where I pan but sooooo much of it....thanks for watching
