​@@InvestedAdventure Native Indonesian here, scam, touts, preman (local thug), and begal (local vehicle-thief) is usually in big cities (because the city usually has people of different ethnic from other part of the archipelago with their bad habit) . The nearer you are into the crowded part of the city the more likely it will appear, but that rarely happen in rural area like where you were like in the video. Even with that, Indonesia is still safer if compared with neighboring Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia
