Dont spread nonsense. 6400 MT/s ram is most often not stable on 7800x3d chips without unsafe VSOC voltage and a beastly motherboard. 2133 MHz FCLK is most likely achievable, but requires lower VSOC, which conflicts with high memory speeds. The memory timings you listed have very little to do with performance (and are shit anyways) on DDR5, as the most important timings that actually give a latency benefit are tRFC and tREF. I can guarantee you cant pass a single memory test for 1 hour at 6400 without extensive research on memory tuning. 6400 is very possible with the right chips, but its hard to get 100% stable. Windows has everything to do with games running, since it handles all interrupt requests from e.g. USB and sound drivers. It is a deep topic and requires lots of research. Dont spread nonsense on youtube comments. Someone might try to actually run 6400 MT/s on their 7800x3d without testing and corrupt their OS in weeks.

A lot of placebo settings in this video that doesn't have any major impact in games. For example CUDA P2 power states. Basically just use local account in Windows and turn off updates. Those tweaks are like from Windows XP era for potato PCs.

so just want to say this, I was pretty hyped to see an optimization video about cs2 and was eager to apply these until I saw the chipset driver section, I never knew about this and after doing that my game became so much stable than before. I've got a pair of 5600x and a 6700xt and was seeing 180-190 fps is in dms (5v5s were ok was gettin 260-270) but right know after doing the chipset driver stuff im seeing 330 in dms in general lol

Changing windows power plan to anything other then balanced, makes your x3d cache not working with games that would use it. I'm using a ryzen 9 7900x3d, and on balanced it's just fine, you don't either need the maximum power plan in nvidia and just use the nvidia app and optimize your game by the graphics, i have no delay, no ms, no microlags or anything. Just go with a normal Windows install, doesn't bother with regedit that much. Make it simple, it will work.

You Can get alot of performance with som regedit regarding latency.. i had the same cpu as u. And by default its not super strong, but with coreparking u Can gain alot of performance.. i put out 1400fps in cs2 with that cpu on with a 6800xt red dragon gpu .. and 1250ish with 7800x3d with a 4070 super

Thanks, but some of the settings seems to be quite bad, Kboost will draw unnecessary power among other negative side effects and it probably wont have any positive effect on gaming. Cuda p2 state which probably wont affect gaming performance, it more has to do with other types of non gaming loads for GPU's . Furthermore, why wouldn't you want to have the latest driver? How long are you going to stay on the old driver? Not for ever for sure. Based on these and other findings would take this guide with a grain of salt.

​@@sadhornyautist Most "optimizations" aren't worth it, they often have little to no gains and at times they can break things. I would go for standard windows and gpu settings, except for high power plan in windows and max hz on the screen. Game mode on which I guess is standard. Updated chipset and graphic drivers, overclocking the GPU often can give meaningful improvement, so try that if your hardware can handle it. I can help you out with overclocking if you're unsure about it. Then go for optimized in game settings, those for sure affect performance. There are quite a few videos on cs2 graphics settings, so have a look on some of those and try them out to see what works for you and your computer.

However, first off you should look for a GPU with good cooling, because they have more headroom for OC. What GPU model are you looking for? I can do some reading and see which models give you good cooling without being too expensive.

seems to have broke my gpu cooling in one way or another, idle temp is 79degrees before was around 60 - playing any game brings it right up to 90 before i have time to load into a game so i close it to be safe.

You should just disable 2nd CCD for cs2 in BIOS and about driver, newer versions are buggy, this is the most stable one

When you change global NVIDIA preset to performance all the settings that impact performance will be changed automatically. Texture filtering doesn`t change because it doesn`t affect performance much

Changing power states on modern hardware is useless, as they already boost to the thermal or power limit (which ever is the limiting factor) very accurately. Running on an older driver is braindead for a game like CS2, as a lot of the optimisations made by Valve are made in conjunction with Nvidia/Amd, which are then released on newer drivers. Also, no benchmarks? The least you can do is prove that these optimizations actually work.

If you are GPU bound, turn ON Reflex (GPU Bound = Your CPU is more powerful than your GPU, i.e. your GPU is holding you back from more frames and is the limiting factor )
