Your quads look very good already. To my eye, adductors, hamstrings, and glutes are the areas to bring up to compete with CBum. Adductors give the illusion of thickness in front and back poses and will make the hamstrings look better, and the adductor magnus is a hip extensor. I foresee a lot of RDLs in your future!

Keep up the great work Wesley, I have been a fan since the Mr. Golden Era you won on Nick's channel! You are and will always represent the Classic Division to me!
@Devlin360i6 ай бұрын
Yep. Nick supports the notion aesthetics > mass. Classic physiques are the most aesthetic. No comparison with the Open division. They look like Golden Era Old-School bodybuilders. I always tell young guys that one of the best things you can do as a lifter interested in aesthetics / performance / strength is to study Old-School bodybuilding. Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science, and muscle adaptability. If you combine Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science, it's the best, safest, most effective way in achieving a strong, sexy, healthy, and aesthetic physique. "Vintage Physique" by George Kelly is a nice read on the topic.

Wessley your physique is amazing but please improve your posing!! Your front latspread and your side chest executions are horrible and will rob you any chance of winning against bumstead. FRONT LATSPREAD: At the moment you crunch your thoracic spine, lean forward into the pose and put your shoulders even further in front and then you spread your shoulderblades How it should be done is you stretch your thoracic spine to the max and press it as much as possible forward into your body while leaning slightly back (with abs contracted to the max). then you press your shoulders back and downward at the same time and force them into max inner rotation while trying to keep your elbows as much as possible sideways and not frontal to your body. then you press your shoulderblades outward as much as possible. maybe you need a little bit of shoulder mobility training That’s exactly how bumstead, yates and brandao are hitzing the pose SIDECHEST: Don’t put so much emphasis on showing your front delts Press your visible shoulder backwards. That will show your sidechest much much better and you will appear wider and more aesthetic and impressive you can still do your old execution in your own routine Also please lean a little bit back in back poses which will make you appear wider and show your lower lats much better (look at bumsteads posing changes over the years he did exactly that when everyone start saying his back is unbeatable now) You are already hitting a perfect front double biceps so please work on those poses and yes train legs legs legs especially in side poses and back poses they lack size but otherwise you have everything to be mr O i would also recommend doing a little bit easy rotator cuff exercises outside training at home because it will likely create a tiny little bit more of detail in the back and it’s not really taxing on the nervous system and it won’t create any notable problem for your weight restriction

@Wesley Vissers-isn't adding a mtt on the hamstring machine going to over extend your patella joint? I think we bodybuilders should start thinking more about over stretching a muscle, it can lead to injury. ALSO-adding in Romanian deadlifts? Not sure about that one for you in terms of abdominal thickness.We have similar structures and Stiff legs dead lifts gave me thicker obliques almost instantaneously.
@mikahundinАй бұрын
On the leg press, when you go very deep into a "frog stance" with the knees sliding past the side ribs, be careful about any compression to the ribs (stay clear of the ribs). Easy to injure the ribs (sprain, fracture, bruise...). Also pay attention to keeping butt and back flat and from lifting up from the board you are laying on. Keep the butt down. Not criticizing .. just have seen injuries occur doing very deep "frog stance" leg presses. Cheers!
@oowatchoo6 ай бұрын
No focus on glutes in this leg workout? Or is that included in your 2nd leg workout/block? With this volume you could hit them every 3-4 days probably. Intensity is great, but I wonder if you need slightly more volume over the week.
