Been watching this channel for years and this is 100% true. I lost 100lbs over 10 years ago (and I was 40 at the time). Went from a lazy slob to an Iron Man finsiher, and routine ultra-marathoner. It IS this simple. Calories in vs calories out. It is all about consistency.

I was born without a thyroid. It’s taken me literal years to learn what works for me but I never stopped trying. Have lost 20lbs in the last 6 months and am planning to continue. The biggest thing I’ve found is that walking is the best, most simple thing you can do to help with weight loss. It’s very low risk for injury and you don’t need tons of recovery time and planning to do several little walks during the day keeps you more active throughout the day. Also also I lift weights at least once a week but I aim for 2-4 times and make sure I’m eating enough protein. These simple things have made a huge difference for me actually loosing weight, not gaining it back and keeping me consistent. Btw, if you have thyroid issues and take medication, whenever you lose a significant amount of weight (for me it’s 10 ish lbs possible a little less) get blood work done. I’ve had to have my meds adjusted several times since making progress. And I didn’t know that for a bit and stalled myself a little because my meds were so off, so just keep that in mind. ❤

Hi Clinical Dietitian here. You have clearly stated the basic facts but that's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm addressing those who haven't been able to lose weight and keep it off despite changing their lifestyle to a healthier one. Things to tweak : 1. Fix ur circadian cycle. That's fixed sleep times are more important than ur sleep duration. And for womxn, u need to sleep 1 to 2 hrs more than men for ur adrenals. 2. Try intermittent fasting. Womxn should avoid long fasting cycles especially 2 weeks prior to ur periods. And skip dinner not your breakfast for womxn who fast. 3. Walk 10 mins post every meal 4. Add acv or lemon juice with ur meals 5. Increase ur fiber intake 6. Eat more cruciferous veggies 7. Get ur daily dose of sunlight. Expose ur eyes to sun once u wake up. 8. Eat more omega 3 rich foods. This also means cutting out processed seed oils to maintain a healthy omega 3&6 ratio to reduce inflammation 9. Regulate ur nervous system through somatic exercises to get ur body our of fight and flight mode and build a resilient nervous system 10. Boost ur magnesium rich foods 11. Do inner shadow work. This helps heal the fascia as obesity is often a shield used to protect oneself from being seen, to hold onto feelings of shame, guilt etc. U help ur bioenergetics by doing this. 12. Change ur inner identity from a fat person to a fit person/athlete identity. That's the only way u are going to keep the weight away and not gain it back. P. S For those with thyroid issues, along with ur meds, avoid eating raw cruciferous veggies, it shd be well cooked when u are eating, and eat a soaked Brazil nut daily. Fix ur gut microbiome and liver along with it. That's root cause healing for ur thyroid. Also practice creative expression through singing, speaking, writing etc anything that's connected to ur throat. (Thorat chakra and solar plexus chakra imbalance can manifest as an underactive thyroid) The basics u all know, as he already said; Move more, eat healthy.

I never thought this was a weight loss channel. I thought it was a fitness channel dude. I'm 75 and I still jump rope almost every day. People have mostly lost the ability to feel how they "feel". Nobody listens to their bodies. If I eat crap, which I do occasionally or drink too much, I feel it the next day. I even try to watch it but I'm not strict when I'm on vacation. Not because I'm trying to lose weight. It makes me feel crappy. Keep it up dude.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you say. I find that people make way too many excuses as to "why they can't," instead of saying "how can I? If you ask the question instead of making the excuse, the answer will come. You immediately shut off the answer when you say why you can't do something. I always ask the question how can I make this happen? You are allowing yourself to be open to receiving an answer. There is ALWAYS a way (in more cases than not). The time is there, the way to buy the food is there you just have to be determined to find the way. Keep your mind open so that you can succeed. Excuses Be gone by Wayne Dyer is a book that I read that changed my entire thinking on making excuses. There are none!
@JumpRopeDudes11 ай бұрын
I love this message! Because you're right, if you focus on the excuses you'll always find them. If you're like I'm getting in shape and I'll find a way to move my body and eat well you can also make it happen. 💪🏻
@brownsugar660510 ай бұрын
You are so right. People tell me I'm skinny (ie. smaller than them) . I tell them what I do. I ask them but they always say they do what they're supposed to do. I feel bad for them bc they're not accountable or they just settle. I have no excuses and hold myself accountable and refuse to sit around and do nothing....it's not a good look.

As a dad, I used to use the excuse, « I don’t have time to work out. » My kids are grown now and that excuse it total BS. Additionally, I used to drink a lot of wine per week, but I have realized that, as I do the JRDMax workouts, the good feeling that I have as a result of being healthy far outweighs the feeling that I get when I drink wine. I am in my late 50s now and it has taken me a long time and some not so pleasant experiences to learn that too much wine is not good in the long run. Thanks, Dan! 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻

Yeah, that is so true! I was active: walked a lot to work and from work (for app. two hours a day in general, or 8-10 km), started kickboxing for more than half a year, but didn't lose any weight. I don't really eat much, even sweet food or baked one, but my weight kept the same. And then for 22 days I've started keeping track of my calories intake, and realized that even 20 g of chocolate or 30 g of nuts can take me out of the calorie deficit. I also consumed protein bars wrongly. So I tried to keep the deficit for each of the 20 days, even if it wasn't much of a gap for some of the days, and I've already lost 3 kg! It is actually easier for me to give up some food at the specific day when I see that I can't take anymore calories. And when I prognose that I am going over at the specific day, I add an extra rope jumping or an extra walk, and hurray: I at least have 10-50 calories deficit.

The comment about general activity is a game changer in the right hands. Having an occupation that requires some lifting and staying on your feet will help you lose massive amounts if you have good calorie control. Edit: I do cringe at the "eat less, move more' comment and the reason why is because knowing how to eat less sounds like common sense but it's actually very hard for the uninitiated. Once you are aware of how powerful food is it becomes less difficult, but finding out what to do at the start without guidance can be annoying.

This. 100%. I lost 5kg last year by cointing calories (not in detail, just approximately) and going on walks. Then I started jogging during my meal breaks and that's it. Bam, 10kg more off. I gained them right back, because I stopped taking walks and had too many snacks. It's not rocket science and I know I'll drop again, as soon as I get my butt off the couch. I'm just waiting for better temperatures and more daylight 😅

Just like every woman struggling with weight loss now, I yoyoed for years - staying on track for a month or 2, losing a few lbs in the process before falling off. And each time I fell off, I just gained the weight back plus more. In July 2021, I was at my heaviest - 255 lbs... See full story on my channel.

Hey buddies. I had Microdiscectomy in 2020. At that time I was only 18 and that was my birthday month. I turned 19 in hospital. At that time my Weight was 77 kgs and later i put on some extra kgs due to complete bed rest. I was not allowed to lift weights until my back gets strong. I started my weight loss journey with 10,000 steps daily. I was unable to bend because i had no flexibility. In that condition I lost my 10kgs of weight.. In 2024 I'm more flexible. More active. I'm doing Hiit workouts, doing weight training and got my flexibility back.. Soo if I can do this then you guys can definitely do this.. It's all in our brain. It's not that difficult. If you have no medical condition then you're the luckiest. Just move your body and eat healthy.

I went to the cooper clinic some years ago, and the head instructor said, “ I’m going to tell everyone here the secret of losing weight. Get ready to write this down. Caloric deficit!”. That was it. The big secret. Eat less. Of course he went into greater detail about optimization and macro nutrients, but for those that simply want to lose weight, just eat less.

I lost 65kg, by eating less and moving more, that's it. It's simple to do, hard to follow sometimes, but simple.
