Love that they include the Viennese Waltz at Blackpool. My old dance floor is looking good after it’s revamp. 👍😊 Never realised how lucky I was to have the Tower Ballroom down the street, and the Empress Ballroom at the Wintergardens Up the street and the around the corner. My parents were hoteliers in Blackpool and my brother, cousins and I all did competitive dancing. We were taught by the best of the best at the time. PS: I hope the give the Empress Ballroom floor a revamp as well. It was sacrilege what happened to that beautiful parquetry.

Michal and Sandra from Poland is a fantastic couple. With a very classical style. The result list have them as winners, and many want to congratulate this EXCELLENT couple, who will go straight to the final as professionals when the day come. I wish Marius Mutin to publish a video of their outstanding waltz. (In the above video they are almost absent.)

That said, I really love Marco and Dora´s beautiful Waltz in the above video. They fulfill the movements masterfully, and interpret the music masterfully. A great couple coming. I also am deeply satisfied with Boyce and Caroly in the slow foxtrot.

I still remember how I used to dance there! About 20 years ago when these couple were like toddlers…. 😁

Hi can someone pls give me the song title. Have been looking for it for over 2 years... In the 80s and 90s I used to dance and it was by far my favorite Waltz song

thanks! I wish the camera could capture all the contestants, as I want to see if my judgment matches the judges' placement!

The smooth dancing is looking increasingly bizarre! The ladies' heads are so far back these days they resemble clockwork mannequins. That position screams splitting headaches and chiropractic adjustments for head, neck, arms, and shoulders. Pure agony. In both cases with Latin and Ballroom it looks mechanical, unimaginative, and in watching them I'm vicariously experiencing their physical discomfort and can't bear to look!

Just watched an old video of the Hiltons. So much more intimate and pleasing to the eye. All you see nowadays is the lady’s heads.

How a lady dances whilst looking at the ceiling is beyond me. The desire for “ dynamic “ shape has abandonded the most basic of principles… shape is created by a reaction to the action . Its simply horrible to see a beautiful lady walk up to the man and take hold with her head tilted back to look up whilst he has done nothing to lead that shape ! Further more, once you have that exaggerated positioning of the head, who do you expect to extend it further in a thrwy oversway for example? Supr fit, super talent, super potential … runing down the wrong track totally. Dont believe me? Try doing it past the age of 60 years old , ive seen Hurley dance like magic with his years ticking over, effortless and desireable and produced CHANGING shapes from his lady depending on the dynamics of the step…. The principles are there for a reason. Dont waste your time in the chiropracters rooms guys, just do it right.
