That was so much fun to watch! The first round Paul sure made some putts, but that second round just didn’t have any magic and it’s tough when you realize making it to The Open is just not going to happen. Love that they’re allowed to use range finders now. What’s it like watching your brother in events like this Dan? I know you’ve done it a lot, but it must be hard to watch at times. Nice caddying Lester! Cheers boys!

There were lots of you tubers making content from trying to qualify for the Open. Whilst neither Paul or James are you tubers both demonstrated the step in level required to qualify. They each performed well and didn’t look out of place whereas some high profile influencers were really there for likes and giggles. What I’m driving at is that Paul and James had a genuine opportunity of making the Open whereas the likes of Shiels, Finch, Fryer and Carter were just making videos. Great video Dan.
@jameswconforti42483 ай бұрын
I'd 100% agree w you on Shiels; dont follow Carter; and Fryer, as he mentioned, is just getting back into comps after 2 yr absence. However, I strongly disagree w you on Finch. If you follow him, he's entered numerous comps, won one, received some much needed instruction from Harrington. Pete certainly has the game, believe his weakness is mental game.
@sirtogii52163 ай бұрын
Their intent is different and that's a good thing. Golf will not grow without them, simple as that. While I have no interest in watching Rick pretend he can get into the Open, I know several young lads who watch his every step and just him attempting to qualify will give them a buzz, get them on the course, practicing etc. Also, the difference between a club pro and a tour pro is huge. Not taking anything away from Paul's performance here but even with his best game ever and all the luck it wouldn't have helped.

Team Hendriksen what a genuinely great set of lads. I was there for 14 hours, had a brief natter with Bernie and yourself Dan and watched a lot of golf, that fairway driver on #4 in the morning to get Paul's round going was the best shot I saw all day from anybody. Paul is a mighty fine player when you're watching live and driving and short game was exemplary - just a few of those momentum birdie putts that wouldn't fall in the afternoon on the front nine and who knows. He'll definitely be back on that form! Great footage Dan as well, some effort that for 36 holes in tournament conditions. Well done boys!
