Very understandable explanation of the OPT Model, when I was starting my NASM education it was very interesting to listen Rick Richey because of easy and understandable explanation of the material, so I don't have to learn it like a poem, I can understand it

The OPT model is not registering in my head. I also do not like that they have been using it during my entire course, yet don't fully explain it until module 14. I wish I knew how weird this was, I would've considered a different certification. Its kinda like being "here lets reinvent science and make up our own"

I thought opt model is similar to the other periodization principles anyway. So its not necessarily a reinvention.

it's on the first chapter on the 4th edition. IMO its quite straight forward

Got my NASM certification... Im losing out on jobs against people without certifications. Cant even get interviews. Had my certification for 2 years. If you aren't planning on running your own business dont bother with NASM. Jobs are only going to hire trainers with a degree in excersise science/kinesiology or gyms will hire people with no certification because they want to hire the pretty girl and will worry about certifying later.

This job isnt about what you know neccesarily. You have to be able to connect with people
