Everyone talking about the Ukrainian volunteers. Lsten, I'm Romanian, of course I support Moldova and see it as part of Romania, and if the Russians stepped foot into Moldova I would go and fight, but I still don't resent those Ukrainians who in the 90s supported Russia. You have to understand that the Soviet Union only collapsed 2 years prior and many Ukrainians saw themselves as being one people with the Russians. It's a truth that many Ukrainians nowadays will deny, but it's how it is. The number of pro Russian Ukrainians has basically gone trough the floor since the late 2000s, but that was 1992. It's all stupid nationalism, which I so dread and will always do so, but which I have to recognize the fact that most people fall for it. When the Americans invaded Iraq, the overwealming majority of Americans were in full patriotic fever and supported the criminal invasion, simply because it is human nature to blindly support your own. I hate that this is the case, and the sad reality is that untold millions have died because of this and that's not going to change anytime soon. I don't hate those people though, and if the Russians invaded I would go and I would try and kill them but then still I wouldn't hate them. They're merely pawns controlled by hateful concepts and ideas, "for king and country" sort of stuff. I hope for the day when all of mankind will reject these ideas, and when everyone will think for themselves and fight against hatred, be it their own country's against another.

For those who talk about Ukrainian volunteers, I want to remind you that in 1991 the army was Soviet, the soldiers were Soviet, the generals were Soviet, the KGB was also Soviet. Many studied or served in Russia or had Russian parents. So your attempt to expose it as if there is a fault of Ukraine and not of the Soviet heritage is an attempt to mislead.

Moldovans are in fact largley opposed to the idea of going to war with Transnistria, one of the reasons is their lacking military abilities, but for the most part Moldovans just don't want to spoil their already poverished lives (because it is the poorest country in Europe) through another war on their soil. Moreover, there is a significant pro-Russian faction inside Moldova (there were a couple pro-Russian presidents already), so, whatever happens, going to war would be the last resort deision for them, which they can even opt not to take.

@@glitch5948 Kievan Rus was not even a country, lol. It was numerous duchies, lands and medieval Slavic cities with cultural and economical centers, spreading from Baltic Sea to Kiev and from Poland to modern central Russia. It has nothing in common with Ukrainian state. Kiev was the biggest trade, economical and cultural center, not a capital of centralized state and even not the only one: there were a lot of such centers: Ladoga, Novgorod, Murom, Smolensk, later Moscow and many more of them. Rus was a number of decentralized huge lands with Slavic populations, often fighting each other and it was united not by Kiev, which was robbed and scorched by tatars, but by Moscow. Moscow united decentralized Russian principalities under strict rule, while Kiev and modern so-called Ukrainian lands were scorched by tatars and than occupied by Lithuania (later Polish-Lithuanian Union). All independent culture of Rus migrated to Moscow and a center of power was born that crushed tatars and united former lands of Rus. Russian monarchs wore a title “Tsar and Grand Prince of all Rus” until Peter the Great who became an Emperor. Modern Ukrainian propaganda claims for some kind of heritage of Kievan Rus? Which duchy, lol? Smolensk? Novgorod? Ryazan-Suzdal? There already is a succeeder to Rus - it’s Russia, man. Always has been. Ukrainian state is a succeeder not to Kievan Rus but to corruption and Byzantine politics of Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Now it’s a failed half-colonial state. Kiev is older than Moscow? So, what? How could that impact on formation of centralized Russian State? 1. Transnistria has never been part of Moldova. In the 1920s, this territory was separated from Ukraine, and the Moldavian SSR was created here, because in the USSR there was a policy that every nation should have its own republic. And then Moldova was annexed. In order not to have 2 republics, Transnistria was annexed to Moldova. But in fact, Russians and Ukrainians have always lived on this territory. Even now, about 45% of the population are Russians, 30% Ukrainians, 25% Moldovans. 2. Russia does not claim this territory, because it has never been part of the national regions of Russia, but was part of "Little Russia" (the territory inhabited by Ukrainians). 3. At the collapse of the USSR, Russia recognized the borders of Moldova. The only reason why Russia led troops in Transnistria is the oppression of Russians and Ukrainians. And yes, Ukraine also sent troops there. What is the reason? Transnistria was an autonomy within Moldova, in addition to the Moldovan language, Russian and Ukrainian were official languages. In 1992, the Moldovan government abolished autonomy, banned all languages except Moldovan, and the discontented were beaten by the police. Therefore, the only requirement of Russia is the restoration of autonomy. Although now Putin sees this as an opportunity to fulfill his imperial ambitions by annexing this territory.

Firstly there is no "moldovan" language, only Romanian language. And secondly Russians complaining about being oppressed is like the biggest joke I've heard I'm a while. They literally oppressed every country that they could "control" or annex during centuries so they have ZERO right to complain about it. In fact they even tried to create the "Moldovan" language to try to separate the moldovans from the romanians by making them think they are a different ethnicity from the Romanians and that they speak a different language ( wich is completely a lie ) and then they tried to replace the "Moldovan language" with Russian.

@@stefanbirlog4622 1. No, there is one. This is Romanian in Cyrillic, which was used in the USSR and Russian Empire just because all use Cyrillic. At least read Wikipedia or something else. 2. >And secondly Russians complaining about being oppressed is like the biggest joke I've heard I'm a while. Sounds like racism. Any people can be oppressed. 3. In Soviet times, yes, we had a dictatorship. But who asked us? Soviet government, after all, was not Russian, but the Russians are to blame, double standards. Stalin is a Georgian, Khrushchev is a Ukrainian, Brezhnev is a Ukrainian, Gorbachev, about whom the West speaks well, and who received the Nobel Peace Prize is a Russian. But the villains are Russian. Who was oppressed by Russia in imperial times? Finland? They had full autonomy. Even now, their judicial code begins with the mention of the Russian Emperor, although the empire has been gone for more than 100 years. Poles? They also had autonomy and their own constitution, which was not the case in the main part of Russia before the first revolution. The West had slavery, Russia did not have it. The West colonized and exploited indigenous peoples in the colonies, Russia gave full citizenship to everyone in Siberia. Why are the republics not demanding independence now? Because they have never been oppressed, even before the United States, more than 180 nationalities lived in Russia and everyone lived peacefully. >they have ZERO right to complain about it And this is outright racism. No one ethically separated them, in the USSR this was considered treason for nationalism. Purely historically, those nations that were influenced by Russia use Cyrillic, by analogy with the use of English and French in Africa. Romanians were divided back in the imperial era and in Bessarabia began to use the Cyrillic alphabet as in the whole empire. Here's another example for you, in Mongolia they also use Cyrillic, although apart from trade we had nothing with them at all during this time, and they adopted our alphabet. Kazakhs use Cyrillic, but Turks use Latin, although they understand each other colloquially without learning each other's language. And Serbs generally use Cyrillic and Latin at the same time because of the flexibility of the language. And now back to Transnistria. It has never been part of Moldova, why would they speak a foreign language?
@stefanbirlog4622
@stefanbirlog4622 Жыл бұрын
@@7DaysChanel_VandenReich Do you even know the difference between language and alphabet? Using a different alphabet doesn't make a language a new one. If I wished I could start writing italian in Greek alphabet but would it be a different language ? NO Moldova was first ANNEXED by the Russian Empire 1812. After this a "Russification" process started by bringing Russian entchics to replace the ethnic Romanians/Moldovans. Following WW1, Russian Empire collapsed and Moldova became independent and decided from its own to unite with Romania. Why would they do that if they were treated correctly by Russia ? Well because they weren't and because Russia tried to replace them. In WW2, soviets weren't happy about that and decided to annex Moldova again. The soviets then reintroduced the Russian Cyrillic alphabet even tough Moldova had adopted the Latin alphabet after the unification as Romania did in the 1850's (btw the romanian Cyrillic alphabet was quite different from the slavic Cyrillic alphabets but the soviets reintroduced the Russian script cause they wanted to assimilate the Moldovans ) During the cold War, the USSR restarted its Russification policy by deporting Moldovans to Siberia and replacing them with Russians( it actually did that in all its territories). Even after the collapse of the USSR, most of Moldovan leaders were Russian ethnic and Pro-Russia. Btw after 1991 Modova reintroduced the Latin alphabet and the official language in its constitution is said to be "Romanian" language, you can google it up if you don't believe me. Also, during the short period of time where Modova was independent (1917-1918) the national anthem was "deșteaptă-te Române" wich translates to awaken thyself Romanian, it's also the current Romanian anthem. It think it's self speaking, isn't it? Also when I'm referring to Russia or to USSR, I'm referring to leaders no matter their ethnicities and to the people who support the government. They may have been an Ukrainian leader but USSR still caused a famine that killed a lot of Ukrainians during the 1930's. And when I say they have no right to complain I'm talking about the current Russian government and all the inhabitants of the country who support the government/ are pro-war not the Russians/inhabitants that are against it.
@7DaysChanel_VandenReich
@7DaysChanel_VandenReich Жыл бұрын
@@stefanbirlog4622 1. Just Google the Moldovan language. 2. I do not deny the annexation of Moldova. In 1812 there was a time of empires, but there was no resettlement policy. In Soviet times, yes, they forcibly adopted the Cyrillic alphabet. But this is not Russification. As Russian, I will say, the Soviets destroyed Russian culture, modern Russian culture is different from the one that was in 1918. 3. Moldova was annexed for the same reason as the Baltic countries. Stalin wanted to return all the imperial territories. 4. The Russian Republic recognized all independent countries and was a democracy (February- October 1917). The tsar was not overthrown by communists, liberal politicians did it. A Provisional Government (parliament) was created, which gave autonomy to Ukraine, and recognized the independence of the Baltic States, Finland, Poland and Moldova. The Communists, by the way, have never even been in the lead in the elections. The Communists overthrew the provisional government in October 1917 and the civil war began. 5. There was a famine, and it's a pity that our government does not recognize it, because besides Ukrainians, Russians and Kazakhs also died (all food regions of the south of the country). Moreover, Kazakhs suffered the most. 6. Then please write "Soviet", not "Russian". Really infuriate people with double standards. If the USSR did something good, then "there were many peoples in the USSR, we also took part," and as something bad, then "only Russians are to blame, we are poor victims." A simple example, the AN-225 Mriya aircraft was built in the USSR. The chief aircraft designer was Russian, his deputy and the 2nd aircraft designer was Ukrainian. But they didn't care about nationality, because they were Soviet citizens. Also, 3 Soviet republics (Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan), 8 design bureaus took part in the creation of the aircraft, each of which manufactured its own part of the aircraft. Therefore, the plane is Soviet. It does not work at all to call it Russian or Ukrainian. But what do we have now? If you open Wikipedia Russian or English, then it says the same thing, who is the designer, where what was collected. BUT the Ukrainian wikipedia says that the plane is completely Ukrainian, was going to be completely in Ukraine, and all other participants were erased. I'm not saying that all Ukrainians are bad (especially since my grandfather is Ukrainian and I am a quarter too), but there are people (such as the editors of this article) who rewrite history, and ordinary people believe them. And propaganda is even more pleased with such actions, because propaganda raises it to the absolute (in fact, one person wrote it, but propaganda says that everyone supports it). A couple of days ago, former Lithuanian Prime Minister and current MEP Andrius Kubilius wrote an interesting article. lithuaniatribune.com/our-russian-psychological-complexes/ 6. In 2004, to be more precise, the Latin alphabet was adopted. 7. Russia does not claim the territory of Moldova. Moldova is located in a region called Bessarabia. Transnistria is not located in Bessarabia and has always belonged to Ukraine. As a result, Moldovans can do what they want on their land (Bessarabia), this is their right. But since they have received additional lands where they have never lived, then let them respect those who live there. The locals did not protest and did not demand independence, and they were banned from their native language. This is the only requirement. And about the war, many Russians are against it, just for the slightest dissent they give 15 years in a maximum security prison, and there torture with executions, it's a dictatorship. Why aren't the Russians protesting? For the same reason why no republic of the USSR declared its desire to secede from the USSR before the regime softened - very strong repression. I hope you understand me, peace be with you.

@@7DaysChanel_VandenReich I agree with you on most points except for Moldovan language. I speak Romanian so I know that Romanian and Moldovan are the same language. To give you an idea it's like saying that Northern and Southern Russian are different languages because they are slightly different. They are less different than British and American English are, the only difference is that "Moldovan" has a few Russian lownwords and the accent is more slavic than in Romania but that's all. And you're right, I should've said Soviet instead of Russian but when I wrote it I was talking about the Russian Empire and not about the USSR. That said even in the USSR Russians were over 50% of the population and the Russian SSR was obviously the most powerful Republic in the Soviet Union. The biggest difference is that minorities were more represented in the government than during the Russian Empire. Also, it's the Soviet government that gave the historical Moldovan region of Budjak (the Ukrainian part south of Odessa) to Ukraine and "gave" transnistia to the Moldovan SDR. Nowadays Modova is still claiming Transnistia because it knows that there is no chance of getting Budjak back (especially since the Eussian invasion). I'm sorry if I wrote some hatefull earlier but I was on a bad mood and when I'm referring to a country I'm always referring to the government not the people. Pridnestrovie was a part of Odessa Republic in 1920s. Part of Moldova was taken from Romania by the communists. Northern part of that part, Cernauţi/Chernovtsy today's Chernovtsy oblast, was given to Ukrainian SSR. Southern part, Budzhak, was given to Ukrainian SSR and is now a part of Odessa oblast. Middle part, Bessarabia, came to be Moldovan SSR and a strip of land called Pridnestrovie, or Transdnistria, was taken away from now Ukrainian SSR and was given to the Moldovan SSR. That strip of land was never, since Roman conquest of Dacia more than 2000 years ago, a part of ancient Dacian or modern Romanian territories but it was a part of ancient Rus', precisely principality of Galich more than 1000 years ago. What should happen is that Chernovtsy and Bessarabia rejoin Romania and Pridnestrovie and Budzhak join Russia, as Ukraine is obviously a failed state for years.
