Thumbs up if you like chris to show us the setting up the dyno what the cables and probes do and how they connect to the bike wiring etc
@kennethpowers89954 жыл бұрын
The dyno isn’t really connected to the vehicle your running per se. You strap it down so it doesn’t move around during your run, hook up a lead to pick up the RPM signal like you would with a timing light, put your sniffer in the exhaust for the AFRs and your ready to go. Depending on the shop setup you may hookup an exhaust vent hose or something but that’s really all there is to it as far as getting on the rollers. For the tuning that isn’t related to the dyno and is a separate event. You take your laptop with whatever tuning software you use, I believe he uses the Woolich Racing software, and then the proper cable for the bike your working on using a bike side harness. They make different ones that will go For the different styles of ECU, Kawi Type C, Mitsubishi etc all have different plug types. But those connections are simple as well, USB to the laptop and then you have an interface box with the proper cable to connect to the ECU type and your ready to tune. They make bench side harnesses as well where you have to remove the ecu and take it off the bike to then go flash it but they typically aren’t used for live dyno tunes.

This is awesome... How much power did it gain just pouring in the MR12? Also my bike was previously tuned for K16 (I used Q16 in it). He did this because he eventually planned to use nitrous with it (I questioned why he would do that on oxygenated fuel 🤷🏻♂️) Anyways I poured in MR12 and gained 2 tenths and 5 mph. I was thoroughly impressed with it. Can you do a video showing horsepower differences between different pump gas and race gas(U4, Q16, MR12). That would be an awesome learning experience.

@@christinesommerfeld9815 That sounds a bit low as first gen stock Busas in the UK typically made 158-162 Rwp bone stock. 160-161 hp was a typical figure and 99 ft lbs of torque was the norm. So I would have thought your bike would be up at least 8 hp with the exhaust and tune. I assume just an end can ?? I owned three first gen Busas back in the day but left them stock as I like the balance of two end pipes and the bike had more than enough power and torque for me on the narrow twisty roads I ride here in Europe.

These new 1000cc bike are coming with 190 to 194 hp after the ecu flash. And the new 22 busa is coming out swinging after the ecu. Old bikes have nothing on the newer bikes. They said the 99 busa with beat the new ones. I don’t think so. Wonder if the cam work helped or it slowed it down. And that exhaust looks likes it’s holding to much back pressure. He should try a different exhaust and back tire.
