Donny Osmond once said in an interview that it was Allan Osmond who played the keyboard for the studio recording but Donny played it during the live performances. He further stated that many bands have tried to copy it but could not and that's because of the special setup they had. He said it was a specific type of keyboard hooked up to a wa-wa pedal and several Marshal amps. He also said that Ozzy Osbourne told him it was his favorite rock song.

One of the first environmental songs! Anti pollution song crazy horses are the gas guzzling cars. The first singer is Jay the drummer he was about 16 or 17. The second vocalist is Merril he was 19. Jay has a musical out about The Osmonds

Merrill was actually the lead singer. The one singing lead is Jay. He was the drummer. Their entire family is multi talented!

Donny Osmond's Greatest Hits was my first album purchase at age 6. The Osmond Brothers were better known for light Pop. This was their only foray into heavier music. Little Sister Marie was known for a more Country sound. Donny & Marie had a variety show with a segment where they covered Country & "A little bit Rock & Roll".

Hey, the Osmonds are still awesome, although Donny is the only one regularly performing. They are all brothers, and their two oldest brothers, Virl and Tommy were born deaf. Can you imagine if the parents hadn't had any more kids? We of my generation had our bedroom walls papered with posters of them. Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Jimmy, and Marie.

Awww man, it is almost heartbreaking that this is the song you listen to first by the Osmonds. They were often called a talentless boy band type and this is the song you tell people to listen to to prove that wrong! A more typical type of song for them is One Bad Apple. The keyboard player (Donnie) is actually the more used/popular lead singer, but Jay & Merrill are fantastic!

Had no idea they were so versatile. Who knew Mormons could be rockstars.

I was one of those preteen girls that bought their albums, had their posters on my wall. Jay was the first singer and Merrill was the second singer in this song. They were all great dancers, singers and musicians and Joe Jackson was always pushing his sons, the Jackson 5 to do better than The Osmond Brothers. There ya go, everything you didn't care to know about the Osmonds! LOL

Okay, I was looking, and you have done some Lynrd Skynrd, but you have NOT done any of the concert videos from Oakland in 1977, and you have not heard Free Bird, or Gimme Three Steps, and a lot of others till you've done the live concert videos, so PLEASE do some of them. Thank you.
