God help me to love and embrace in forgiveness those that you mercifully restore into my life. Thank you for your salvation that is reaching out to lost loved ones and bringing them back home in Jesus name

The more we understand the nature of God, how He sees us and what He wants for us, the less we will envy others. It’s the enmity - the rivalry - the want to be better than others or have more than them or be more than them - rather than be more than we are to please God - that is the issue. So much is to do with the intent of the heart and our desires. I love this talk and always think of the quote about the rerun of the TV show “Vain Imaginations”

Sometimes I catch a glimpse of this love for others he is describing. Sometimes I see others just a bit like the Father sees us. I've listened to this talk twice now in an effort to bring that feeling back. Like he said, it takes constant effort.

Aren’t we all prodigal?!
@lancebroshar58184 жыл бұрын
I think to some degree each of us have been the prodigal or the other sibling and in both cases need the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

It makes me think about a possible situation where we are in heaven and someone who has wronged us makes it into heaven-would we act like the older brother?

Hi Leo: If you don't LDS Social Services and the Addictions Recovery Program (APP) in your area, try Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). There are many paths to God. Talk to your Bishop about ARP. He may not be familiar with it. You just need the phone number and access code. Good Luck!! Congratulations on your Sobriety!!! 😁 I have 18 years. You can do it.... MEL (U.S.A.)
