As soon as you hear "I'm from California" in Thailand it's pretty much guaranteed to be someone who acts like a total "free spirit" but who acts like a total fascist toward everyone's else's attitudes, ideas and opinions. That's what I discovered about the Californians in Thailand. Some were friendly and nice of course but so many were eccentric, totally bizarre and way "out there" hypocrites and fascists. Like in Australia one time playing pub poker this young American sits down just off the plane and out of Uni. He proceeded to tell us that he was here in Oz to make a difference in Corporate Psychology (with no job or leads, just bluster and belief). Nobody asked but he was happy to promote himself. This need to always be "on" is causing terrible depression in the workplace. I've worked in Australian companies and whenever the manager asks how you're doing you're not allowed to say, "good" or "great" or even "awesome", you're expected to be on such a high in the workplace that you're having an orgasm from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave. Even if you've achieved the highest sales goals in the company's history that week, you're expected to be having a permanent orgasm for every minute you're at work. Even at ten minutes to closing time Friday night, if the manager asks everyone how they're doing, you're expected to scream at the top of your lungs "totally awesome!!! Incredible! Astonishing!!!" The manager will keep saying "I can't hear you. You don't sound happy enough etc". Anything less than a screaming orgasm is considered to be "a bad attitude" "not a good fit" "bringing the vibe down" etc. This refusal to allow people to be normal human beings for even a single second - no matter how extraordinary their work ethic - messes with people's brain chemistry, distorts their view of reality, and causes mass depression and addiction. This shit needs to stop.

Be honest, Pete. Did you ask him to come up on your channel or did he ask you to be interviewed? Because I've watched almost all of your videos and it gets kinda easy to see when you don't really enjoy doing an interview. This was one of those. I know, my personal observation. Thailand is very interesting and its got many different sides and a wild history. Crazy story I lived in LA getting involved in every side of the entertainment business back in early 2000. I came to Asia to teach English now live in Vietnam and help promote underground music. Thailand has a small punk scene as mostly its a very rigid country and traditional as well. Thais are open to Western influence but also very stuck in their ways holding on to what is Thai then what is foreign. Pattaya isn't Thailand in the sense that its more for the tourists looking for a party and the girls. The poor Issan girls come to make the money on the tourist industry and get caught up in the wild lifestyle. It seems that he's not out to exploit ladyboys but interested in a totally different culture than the usual one in the West. Check out T Queen the oldest go go in Pattaya the best rock bar also Patpong museum that tells the history of the go go bars and nightlife in Thailand.

Sadly, I don't think his story is going to end well. Eventually he's going to wake up from the honeymoon stage and realize all the Pattaya ladies only see him as a meal ticket, a walking ATM, and there's NO love. He'll likely burn through his money making bad choices and then either go back to teaching English somewhere in Asia or return to the USA. I've been living in Thailand off and on for over 30 years and have seen this countless times. With that noted, I do hope I am wrong and he does well. I know Thailand pretty well and I carnt believe anyone could walk up to a random girl in the street and ask to take her to a massage shop for a yoni massage and she yes ???. I have lived in Pattaya for a long time. Living in Pattaya is like linen in any party town like las Vegas, los Angeles you just get numb to the lifestyle and just want to go home at night. Dang I thought I was a yT junkie with four channels. He got it going on. Ya I am always asked about Lady Boys on my channels. Not me. There are a lot of freaks in Pattaya.
