It's sad that corner hardware stores have gone away. I remember Chism's in St Matthews which had a post office in the corner. I think it's great that you can do these reviews and spend time with your parents, looks like a nice country drive along the river.

Enjoyed this video. We have been to the Overlook several times since moving to Kentucky near Brandenburg in 2016 and we always enjoy it. Last year we had Thanksgiving dinner there and the food was so delicious, and they gave good portions. We have also been to that charming store in Leavenworth. If you are ever in the Brandenburg area, come out to Stull's Country store in Andyville, near Payneville. It is an ole timey store with a little of everything. Plus, they smoke meat there on select days. My fav is their brisket.

Hey Barry nice showing of that place. I always wondered what it was like. There's another place you need to try in Frankfort ky. It's called The Stave. Little shack in the middle of the country. Alot of people go there after they go on bourbon tours

Thank you so much for your video! My husband and I always intended to visit it, but...we waited too long. We got covid in 2021 and the hospital damaged his throat and swallowing ability. He was bedridden after that and I was his caregiver. He passed in Nov of 23. We had been married 43 years. Visiting the overlook had always been a dream of ours. I feel like I visited it while watching your video. I enjoyed it. God bless you. :)

Been going there since I was a kid. They started to go high end expensive but dialed it back recently and re-added some old favorites. Went back a few months ago and loved it, like old times. Good review! Should try the dock next time if you havent.
