Japanese guy, here. I can say that i never had any trouble hooking up with Asian women (and various races of women in general). I would say that most Asian guys, during my young adult years were stuck in a stereotypical Asian parental authority household, which basically consists of parents prohibiting them from attaining any individual social development or have a social life outside of being a son. Many of them were even prohibited from developing any arts related talent or physical activities that didn't involve studying, because to their parents, having a good paying job to be their cash cow was the only thing they exist for. If you live in the west, allowing your parents to mold you into that line of thinking will put you at a great disadvantage in the dating and hooking up scene. That's one of the reasons why i moved out of my parents' house at 16 and left Japan at 18, because staying in such a toxic upbringing would've turned me into an incel, lol.

From the perspective of an outsider looking in (I am half black/half white), I’ve had Asian female friends along the years who won’t date Asian guys for one reason or another, and it often comes down to them (by their own admission) not being proud of their heritage, or at the very least, don’t identify with their cultural background. Often referring to themselves as white-washed. They would also not date anyone else but white guys (and thus I too would be excluded). Women like this should probably reevaluate themselves and their outlook on things because there is no way they could ever be respected or treated fairly by a white guy if they’ve already set the precedent that the power dynamic is skewed. And as a biracial child, myself, I can say confidently that’s on course for raising children with identity issues.

I’m a full Asian guy and Asian women probably show me more interest by non-Asian women. I don’t do much other than when I’m buying groceries or something along those lines I’d get approached randomly and I’m not really dressed to impress.. more like normal clothing like a sweater, t shirt, or a cardigan of some sort bc I like in Minnesota and it gets cold sometimes. But that’s just my experience and as this guy said, a lot of the guys who do hate on our Asian women can’t get them bc of their mentality and the way they look downwards towards Asian women dating. My sister and I have a few nieces who prefer not to date Asian men and I kinda start to see why.
