I consider myself extremely lucky that I got to hear him sing with Beatle Juice at city hall plaza in Boston only about 8 or 9 months before he was gone and I got to meet him after the show, I was as much a fan of his as he was of the Beatles and when we got up to meet him what really impressed me was that he made me feel like he was seeing a friend he hadn't seen in awhile and I said absolutely that's why he was known as the nicest guy in rock and roll

"BRAD DELP" was the HEART ♥ and SOUL of, Boston. When Boston played in concert during the beginning years, it was easy to discern that BARRY & BRAD were close!

We listened to Boston in our muscle cars in the late 1970's. R.I.P. Brad Delp. Thanks Barry for your superb musicianship!

Berrys solos and Brads unbelievably high and forceful notes are a huge part of the soundtrack of my adolescence and teen years. My musical tastes have changed considerably since then but if Im driving and Boston comes on the radio, the cellphone gets switched off, the radio gets cranked and I’m right back to a time where everything seemed hopeful and life was simpler.

Same here ! I usually listen to a lot of British music but if a Boston song comes on I turn everything off as my car radio is set to a classic rock station so that comes on when I’m through streaming.Right on !!

Barry and Brad both came from the same cloth, both very talented individuals and both perfect gentleman. It's very sad that we can never know the depth of someone's depression until it's too late. RIP Brad, truly one of the best vocalists of all time!

I'm telling you Barry is incredible, I seen him open for the Hollywood vampires this past summer and no offense to the vampires but Barry stole the show, every song has an awesome lead guitar in it and because there's not a rhythm guitar his leads are crystal clear, that to me was why they were better than the vampires, Joe perry had some good lead parts but it was harder to hear being drowned out by the rhythm guitar

A loss for Barry we can't imagine. I heard the isolated vocals. The level of engineering that Brad had achieved on the vocal and music was top in the industry back then I can add.

Cool interview with Mr. Goodreau. Was not aware Brad was a Beatles mimic! I've always believed More Than A Feeling was the quintessential power ballad that defined the seventies and could not have been pulled off without Brad's vocals, no matter how many guitar tracks Tom Scholz put in. And why it took until 2018 for them to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame is beyond comprehension, but better late than never, since it doesn't seem to be about R&R anymore. My top three male R&R vocalists from their era: Brad Delp, Steve Walsh, and Paul Rodgers!

I saw Boston at the Texas Jam in 87 I believe, and was one of the most memorable concerts of all time! It was brutally hot but soooo worth it! RIP Brad! I 1000% agree Brad was such an amazing talented singer that so many wish they had 1 tenth of the talent he had! Thank you also Barry Goudreau for the amazing guitar work that is the blueprint of making the way I play as well! Bless you both!

Had the great joy of getting to spend time with Brad and the guys in BeatleJuice back in my radio days. Everything Barry has said here about Brad's dedication to their fans is true. Got to see it in-person. In an entertainment world loaded with arrogant egos, he was a bright light. Truly one of the most 'kind' and amazingly talented people I ever got to meet.

Brad Delp on songs like "I think I like it", "Feeling Satisfied" or "Hitch a Ride" to name just a few of so many great songs he did, lifts my spirit unlike any other singer I've listened to and continues to more so with time.

Same here backstage in 87 Hamilton Ontario. We can tell people how amazing he was to talk to (allowing a fan who is a stranger to feel like an old pal getting caught up over the past years) but it's true what You read about him being that nice Why it makes it so much more sad he is gone..

I was there! I was close enough to the stage to touch Brad's hand when he leaned over to hand-slap the fans in the front row. I remember the moment RTZ started playing a Boston tune, the crowd just erupted.

Saw Barry play with Orion The Hunter ... They toured with Aerosmith on the tour when Joe Perry came back to the band. ( I think it was the Done with mirrors era) What a wild night that was .. ! They handed Barry a HUGE Cheech & Chong style joint onstage - he lit it & had a few puffs before tossing it into the crowd. A huge biker gang fight broke out right after Orion The Hunters set and the concert security staff whipped the crap out of all of them and hauled them all off in a panel truck used as a Paddy Wagon.

He mentioned Brads suicide. Then, in the next breath he suggested depression as the culprit. If you read what Brad had done to his wife's live-in girlfriend, that's the reason he committed suicide. He could not face his wife, family, and friends. Nor could he forgive himself.
