The Palace of Auburn Hills was a Great Place for Detroit Pistons Basketball and their fans. My favorite memory is about all the intense playoff games and playoff series that were played at The Palace. Boston, Chicago, Indiana, New Jersey, Miami, Cleveland, Philly, Orlando, Milwaukee, New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Portland, San Antonio all came in for a visit come playoff time. What a Great Atmosphere in that building! The Energy, The Noise, The Electricity, The Battles, The Fights, The Bad Boys, Grant, The Goin To Work Crew, WOW! What more can you say! All I know is that the majority of the other NBA teams and their buildings haven't seen success like the Pistons and The Palace did from 1989 thru 2017. 40 playoff series played at The Palace with the Pistons winning 26 of those series. 9 Eastern Conference Finals series played at the Palace with the Pistons winning 4 of those series. 4 NBA Finals series played at the Palace, with Detroit winning 3 NBA World Championships as the Pistons swept the Lakers in 1989, beat Portland in 5 in 1990, beat the Lakers in 5 in 2004, and losing in 7 to San Antonio in 2005. A 15-6 overall Finals record while playing games at The Palace. A special thanks to the late owner, Bill Davidson, who built The Palace, and made it one of the best arenas in the NBA for 30 years!

DW they are so terrible that is the thing. They are a team that is an empty fridge. They have some young bright spots like Kunnard and Bullock and Duyboya and of course a talented Blake and Rose. They need a point guard or center.

I leave in detroit the palace was in auburn hills which is a place in the middle of nowhere, s o they never got there real fans the seating was built different than any other arena to this day it was built to have the crowd right on the court, no matter were u sat , uwas right up on the game, an that made it hard for in coming teams, what a great time, unforgettable

During that decade of Eastern Conference Finals and Finals year in and year out, that place was popping. I was supposed to go to the Malice at The Palace game. Still can’t believe I missed that chaos. We’ll see if LCA is anything like that when they’re good again, which probably isn’t that far away. Weaver is a basketball Jedi.

Celtics are lucky Billups got injured during game two. He wasn’t the same after he slipped and did the splits, pulling his hamstring. I think while backing down Rondo.
@J-Hue3 жыл бұрын
That was the series before against Orlando where he got hurt, but he was just coming back and rusty in that close game 1 loss vs Boston. Still might've been a game changer. He was on a mission that postseason and if they had got game 1 it might've been a different story. Still, Doc our coached Flip that series and Boston was hungrier all around.

Wow I was expecting a real tribute from ESPN. Showing Highlights like Robert Horry I think all Piston fans don't want to revisit that moment, Also having two Celtics talking about their favorite memories beating the Pistons In 2008. You could have at least reached out to Isiah Thomas or Chauncey Billups and have them talk about their favorite memories about the Palace of Auburn Hills this whole video was really disrespectful.
