An Israeli guy here... Providing a separate educational system for the Israeli-Arabs (Palestinians) will widen the gap between the populations and will inevitably lead to additional conflict. When Dov gives the example of an autonomous education system of the Ultra-Orthodox Jews, he does not provide the full picture:

The Ultra-Orthodox population is almost a separate entity in Israel (even more than the Israeli-Arab population). Their education system is characterized by the lack of "secular" studies (math, english, history, science etc) and revolves around the bible and religious subjects. This has lead to a significant overall negative impact on the country's economics and democracy.

This autonomy is highly criticized, and changing it was (and still is) a major difficulty as the religious leaders that control this population hold much political power.

I think that currently this is the ONLY solution the Israeli people will agree to (and even this, sadly, with much difficulty), and the only one that the Israeli-Arabs will be able to achieve (peacefully) in the current generation.

In my view, the solution can only be in further assimilation of the Israeli-Arabs in the Israeli society. Only by recognizing and *honoring* them as a minority, we could live together. With that said, it only can happen if they will become a PART of the ISRAELI state. We should from Haifa, and even the Druze population.

1. Israeli government must unoccupy current occupied territories. 2. Israeli government must break down all concrete walls surrounding, and lift all blockades and sanctions on Palestinian territories. 3. Israeli government must stop and roll back settlements on occupied territories. 4. Israeli government must allow refugees back into the country. 5. Israeli government must be secularized. 6. Israeli government must hold a full and free referendum on the nature of the government and state.

If the Israeli-Arabs education system will be autonomous, their leaders that currently promote anti-Israeli views (seemingly idolizing their Palestinian nationality) will most likely continue to promote their power-hungry agendas, fueling the feud. I think that the low voting rates should be an evidence for the lack of faith in the Arab leaders, and not (only) in the Israeli government/society (which actually works hard on improving the Arabs' life as a minority).

just him calling israeli-arabs "palestinians" is wrong... he makes statements and then gives his own opinion on it exemple "israeli jews get benefits from serving in the army while palestinians do not serve" - israeli-arabs do not WANT to serve... if a "palestinian" israeli wants, he can serve and where are examples of that (look up google) he does this all the way through the video again and again.. its sad that someone who does not represent the israeli-arab opinions talks for them like that

Yet these people who identify themselves as Palestinians from within Israel did not want to be citizens of a potential Palestine, when Avigdor Lieberman suggested repatriating them without moving anywhere. Why? Because Arab honour does not allow them to say they do not identify themselves as Palestinians. But we saw the truth, This guy is sharing his view. But not doing anyone any favours by doing so, This is not a reflection of the truth for so many reasons

Not true, palestinian in israel dont want to be part of palestinian state only because they live great in the state of israel.

Israeli arabs do can serve in the army. This is just not mandatory for them as it is for the jews. Arabs can volunteer, and many do serve. This speech is very subjective and one sided. Political arab parties can form a government, but they just don't get to enter for several reason. Better luck next time. Stop crying. Arabs live perfectly fine in israel (and much much better than arabs in arab countries). Stop looking for the bad things without talking of the good ones as well.

what would go along way is for Arabs to understand they owe Israel a debt for their security. Israeli Palestinians and those living in Judea & Samaria are saved from sectarian conflict. Shia Iran would have turned their lives into a bloodbath like Syria if Israel was not protecting the borders, and their lives. About time they appreciated the privilege of being in the Jewish state or next to it.

@@canaannoah4712 they live much better than in Lebanon under Hezbollah where they are a majority. You just don’t have a clue what the Middles East is, just as most of White moralizators.
