Enough people are vaccinated to where we won't see anything like we did in March 2020 again. It is amazing to me how when one person says something to the effect of moving on from this, here comes 100 people to scream about how we are still living in early 2020 and will be forever. SMH....

@@Kath-Erina swansong is the final performance of a person's career. Generally, going out in a big way.
@Cyssane
@Cyssane 3 жыл бұрын
@@Kath-Erina It's based on an old idea that swans (who are normally silent) sing their first and only song right before they die. It's not true btw, swans don't do that at all. But the idea took hold and turned into a meme, basically. So the saying comes from that old, mistaken concept. It means to end something, such as a career, after a grand public performance. It's often also used ironically (as Julie's doing here), since dying of thirst after singing a song like this wouldn't exactly be a grand way to go out.

Really like the format of the skit. So am there with you. Wondering if surviving is going to be that great some time in the future. Like,are the mental scars like burn scars . Some days feel like I have changed into a hermit, scrooge, Grinch... hardly remember what it was like before

I can’t begin to explain how much I enjoy Ms. Nolke’s videos. This one is yet another in a long string of self-revelatory pieces that tugs at your heart and yet makes you laugh like you’re somehow part of the whole insanity of the current human condition yourself. Wow. Thank you so so much!

As my grade 5 teacher told me when I made a joke in class, "Funny's a crutch". But it's a mighty sturdy crutch! More songs, please!

One of my pet peves is to say "X is a crutch" as in you should not do that thing. Guess what, crutches are good and important things. If someone needs a crutch and you take it away then bad things happen. Yes funny is a crutch. Without it we would all fall down into a pit of dispair. We need that crutch.

Oooh, now here’s a fertile trope of “childhood innocence and safety, interrupted by a crazy/scary world outside”. Also, I certainly did not laugh nervously at this vid.

Considering all the other children’s songs. I can tell this song will become as well know as “London Bridge” or “ring around the rosy”

All I could think of at the start was Julie holding up a mirror and doing the whole magic mirror "and I see... mirror Julie. Wait, what the hell." Maybe Julie and mirror Julie should do a kids show episode. Very well done for the feel and great job on the lyrics.
